This is very hard to find in stores anymore so we've taking to buying it in bulk packing via Amazon. It doesn't have peroxide in it -- nasty tasting stuff -- but is much more effective at freshening the mouth/breath than other baking soda-based toothpastes we've found. If you want a fresh mouth without peroxide taste, this is the one.

I can't use whitening toothpaste or any with peroxide. This is a great, overall toothpaste that tastes good, cleans my teeth, and doesn't cause slime in my mouth like when using toothpastes with the high-powered additives. NOTE. Oral B makes a charcoal toothbrush. I tried it and have been told by family members that the combo of this toothpaste and the charcoal toothbrush has whitened my teeth!

What makes this toothpaste the best is it has everything one needs without having any grit. Hydrated silica (read: sand/grit) is used for whitening purposes with adults and cleaning purposes for children. However prolonged use of toothpaste with hydrated silica where is out your enamel which is never good. This is the only toothpaste I have found that does not have any hydrated silica. Yet it still has baking soda and fluoride to help protect teeth, whitening, and freshen breath.

This is the original version of the product that I have been using for decades, the only version that I ever buy. Unfortunately due to product proliferation I can no longer find it in local stores and have been buying it for years from 3rd party sellers fulfilled by Amazon. The latest 6-pack that I received (sold by My Great Goods, fulfilled by Amazon) was defective in a manner that has all the appearances of potential product tampering. Needless to say it was returned.

I've used this product for many years, and it is not sold on store shelves. Thanks to Amazon for continuing to stock it.
