Dalstrong Professional Chef's Kitchen Apron

I love to cook, and while I am far from being a professional, I can appreciate that having the right tools in the kitchen can make that job abundantly easier for everyone. One of the kitchen basics many cooks give little thought to is their apron. I admit, that it has only been in later years that I have come to appreciate just how much help that they can be in getting the job done. Things that I look for in an apron go beyond the obvious of just wearing one to keep your clothes clean as you work. But while we’re addressing that point, let me say that this apron gave me fantastic coverage without getting in the way of what I needed to do. I am 5’3” tall and the length came to just above my knees.Starting at the top of the apron, I found the adjustable neck strap to be very easy to use. It is well made to be durable using leather to anchor the strap to the apron and has a comfortable cotton strap that rests on the back of your neck comfortably without irritating your skin or making you hot from the material heating up as you work. The sewing of the strap ends to the denim material of the apron is secure, even and tight with no loose threads or shots seems. Having a short torso, this is a key feature for me to be a able to customize the fit.The denim material of the apron is indeed light in overall weight, but not performance. Food that splashes against the apron does not penetrate the denim into my clothing, which of course, is a key reason for having an apron in the first place. The denim material is treated with a liquid repellent and fast dry coating, making it perfect for protection while making sauces of for use while bar tending. Functionality and ease of helping to get the job done being, for me, the next key reason. Sewn to this denim apron are 3 front pockets. The upper center pocket features the Dalstrong logo in leather adding a touch of class and professional sophistication to the look of the apron. The depth of the pocket is perfect for thermometers and pens. Traveling midway down the apron toward the sides are two sturdy deep pockets for general use. On the inside of the apron behind the left front pocket is an ingenious and thoughtfully designed inner pocket. I found this to be perfect to hold items that are non-kitchen related, that I didn’t necessarily want lying around on my counters as I worked. This is the pocket that I mainly use now for my cell phone as I cook.The last feature of the apron that allows for a customized and personal fit are the side straps. These straps are made from the same material as the cotton side of the neck strap. The sewing is secure and the ties are flexible and easy to tie behind oneself. There is enough length to accommodate just about any waist girth and there is extra attention given to the construction of the free ends to prevent fraying. I have washed this apron with my regular clothes and I will tell you that it comes back out of the laundry looking just like it did (but cleaner and not smelling like food) when it went in. To prevent wrinkles (I hate to iron) I simply removed the apron right before the dryer cycle ended and hung it up. It seems very easy to care for. For this home cook, I found this apron to be, overall, everything I would want in the kitchen.

This is well built great length and was everything I was hoping it was. The beverage holder easily holds a 12 oz can or bottle all sizes no problem. The materials are thick heavy and seems like it will last a long time.

It’s expensive but it’s also amazing. I was looking for an apron that was heavier and had a more rigid fabric and this delivered. The fit is good, I really like how adjustable it is and the clip in closure and leather straps are a nice aesthetic. I shouldn’t lose any more clothes to bacon grease, tomato sauce, or anything else in my chaos of cooking.

Just like my Dalstrong knives, this apron is complete and utter overkill for my needs. And I could not be happier with it. After drooling over this for a year, I finally bit the bullet. I'm a 5'8 female who likes cake and was able to adjust this to fit perfectly. It comes a little below my knees which is fine. Once its on its so comfortable. I really tried to find something similar but cheaper.You get what you pay for. It's pricey yes, but so substantial. Nothing feels cheap in the slightest. Dalstrong doesn't do anything halfway, and this apron is no exception. Beautiful unwrapping presentation as well.

Great product, as advertised

We have some Dalstrong knives, so I know this company can produce quality. I was skeptical of the apron, thinking it was just some branding extension, but it looked good and the price seemed reasonable. What arrived blew away all my best expectations. It arrived in packaging as nice as anything I've purchased lately from a luxury brand: A sturdy and attractive box that opened to reveal a satin-like bag wrapped in colorful packing paper. The quality of the apron material and the finishing details are outstanding. The leather straps are as sturdy and high quality as you could ask for. I was really taken aback at it being such an excellent product for the price, clearly produced with care and packaged with pride. This would be an impressive gift for your favorite cook, or for yourself. I certainly was very impressed.

I've groomed over 100,000 cats in my career, and had most of my aprons shredded by kitty cats. I finally spent $250 to have one custom made which has served me well for many years but when I saw the Dalstrong Cat Grooming Apron I was like "Damn, that looks sharp!"I have to admit I was a little hesitant to order it. Dalstrong isn't really a household name in the Cat Grooming Industry and things don't always look as good in person as they do on the web. I said to myself "F it, I can always send it back!" and ordered it. It was in my hands within 48hrs from Amazon.First off the packaging it comes in is top notch. There could have easily been an Aston Martin umbrella inside. That's what I call presentation! Very classy :) The apron itself is sharp. Like something James Bond would wear to groom cats. From the tight stitching, to the metal kitty logos, you can immediately tell this apon was designed specifically for Cat Groomers.The pockets are in the perfect place for a Cat Groomer to hold all of his/her tools. It's just glossy enough to repel water during bath time, but still has enough grip so I can cup the kitty between my knees and efficiently clip the nails.Back to the looks... It's very slimming. My female clients have actually been touching me (not inappropriately) and telling me how good I look in it. I've already ordered a second one.It comes down to this. If you don't own a Dalstrong Cat Grooming Apron you're not really a Cat Groomer.Thanks Dalstrong!
