BP Black Steel Kubaton Key Ring

Not made out of steel as stated in listing. Clearly aluminum and I specifically ordered this particular one because I wanted steel. Now I have inferior aluminum. Thanks for the deception. BEWARE IF YOU WANT STEEL. THIS ONE.IS ALUMINUM!!!

Aside from the obvious self-defense uses for the BLACK STEEL KUBATON KEY RING, I've found that this thing comes in VERY handy. I once used it to help a disabled man free himself from a jammed, public bathroom stall, by using the KUBATON tip to pry it open! This same method also opened my car door, which had been frozen shut after an ice storm. I have also driven small floor nails back in place, and torn stubborn boxes open w/ this device! After some research, I also know that this KUBATON could one day save my life, or someone else's, not as a "weapon", but as a means of breaking out car window glass, if I ever end up under water! There's much more to this KUBATON than one might think...

A self defense tool needs to be effective and reliable. This would be relatively effective for what it it is, but it is not reliable. One of the two I purchased literally fell apart in my hand. When I opened the package, one of the small prongs was loose, and I wiggled it a bit and it fell out. I checked the other, and the build on these things is pathetic. You can tell that they are probably slapped together in some sweatshop somewhere and no one cares about anything other than getting a product that vaguely looks like the intended item. Assembling 4 parts is not a lot to ask, but the manufacturer of this product couldn't seem to pull it off. Find something else from someone else.

I had originally bought the 'cat' self defense key chain because I needed something I could carry through the airport when I travel on business (since they frown upon pepper spray). I was looking to buy a few more to give to my friends but could not locate the same type so I found and bought several of this item.When these arrived, I was not expecting them to be so heavy. That is definitely a good thing when you are looking for self-defense - make no mistake, these are SOLID and HEAVY and would definitely be an advantage in a self-defense situation vs. some of the plastic or flimsy metal types I've seen. However, the weight might be a bit of a disadvantage for use as an everyday key ring- i.e. always on hand for quick access. I gave them to my friends and I believe one friend did end up carrying it on her key ring. The other friend still thought it was great but said she was going to keep it in her car door pocket for handy access as self defense but also as a device to break out the car window in case of emergency. I would definitely recommend this as a reliable small, subtle self-defense weapon to carry in a handy location. I only removed the 1 star because I don't know if the sheer weight really makes it convenient as a key ring.

THIS IS A KEY RING THAT IS DESIGNED AS A DEFENSIVE TOOL. IF YOU ARE ATTACKED AND YOU USE THIS TO DEFEND YOURSELF THERES NO JUDGE OR JURY THAT WILL CONVICT YOU I DONT CARE WHAT STATE YOU ARE IN. THIS IS A GREAT KEY RING AS WELL, IF YOU ARE LIKE ME ITS EASY TO MISPLACE YOUR KEYS, WELL NOT WITH THIS ONE, THE SPIKE FITS NICELY IN YOUR BACK POCKET OR FRONT POCKET. THE SPIKES ON THIS KUBATON CAN SMASH CONCRETE IF YOU GOT ENOUGH MUSCLE AND TRUST ME, THIS IS AN EXCELLENT DEFENSIVE WEAPON THAT IF USED ACCORDING TO TRAINING METHODS CAN KILL. JUST REMEMBER THIS, ITS BETTER TO BE JUDGED BY 12 THAN CARRIED BY 6.

Seller should be kicked off amazon for falsely listing items. This is junk. This is not steel as the listing says. This is made of aluminum, comes in multiple pieces which you screw together yourself to complete it. The threading is horrible and strips out easily, mine is less than a day old and already one of the small arms can just “fall” off of it. When a listing says steel, that’s what you expect. Don’t buy this aluminum garbage.

The kubaton is very sturdy. Its made out of a weighted metal so its heavy like a roll of quarters which I like. And everything goes downhill from there. The packaging was crap. The inside of my package was soild with black grease or dye which got everywhere. The little box that the kubaton came in was covered on black dye or grease. The Kubaton had to be washed. I took it outside with me for one day and the paint is already chipping off of it.

Somewhat too heavy to carry on a keychain, but then that is exactly what makes it a potent weapon!The ends are sharp enough to do significant damage at force, but not too sharp to scratch and/or injure yourself by accident.Ladies carry this in your purse but perhaps leave it off the keychain!
