Forgiving Blade that Offers a Close Shave
I really like using this product with my new Merkur razor. It has good heft; easy to hold, easy to maneuver around corners, and shaves well using my Polsilver Super Iridium Double Blade. This is a good razor blade. It’s very forgiving if you’re not too careful or methodical with your strokes. Is it the closest shave that I’ve ever had? No. But I’d say it’s probably second place in that category. I’d rather stroke twice than stroke once and cut myself. It handles very smoothly and only time will tell on how fast my stubble grows back. As a Black man with curly hair, I’m concerned about razor bumps and hair getting under my skin in the follicles. But thus far, for the price, I like this product a lot!

My new favorite!
I think I found my favorite blades. These are very nice sharp and smooth blades. They are similar to astra and I think they are made in the same factory like many other Russian blades but these are much smoother than astra for me. Compared to astra these provide a much smoother nick/irritation free shave for me. The astra are just as sharp but I have to be careful in my second and touch up passes not to nick myself or apply any pressure resulting in razor burn. With these blades I can almost shave with my eyes closed(not really but you know I mean) because of how smooth they are. The smoothness results in no razor burn/irritation or nicks even with multiple passes.Basically these are like a much improved version of astra sp blades in my experience at least. Of course everyone's skin/beard is different but if anyone enjoys astra/silver blue or other Russian blades then they should love the Polsilver blades. They are basically the best Russian blade out of all the Russian blades I've tried which is all of them except PermaSharp. These are pricier than other blades but I really like them and will be looking to purchase the 100 pack. Happy shaving.

Great blades, but take the hype with a grain of salt.
POL SILVER, blade of legend. Spoken of in hushed whispers on various internet shaving forums as the One Blade to Rule Them All™. Actually, that's not a terrible exaggeration. XD Pol Silver has a devoted cadre of wet shavers, and for good reason: It's one of the best Petersburg Products International blades to come out of Russia. They're well-made, sharp, and smooth, right up there with Gillette Silver Blue and Astra Superior Platinum. There was a bit of a scare amongst the faithful when Wizamet stopped making these, and supplies grew scarce while Gillette moved production of these from Poland to St. Petersburg, but now PPI seems to be cranking them out in spades. I figured I'd give these a try and see what the fuss was about since many forum-goers opined that these are like an Astra SP, but "better." I purchased my four tucks from Smallflower and am pleased to say these were the genuine article with an older production code from around 2016. The blades were individually wrapped in wax paper with two centrally placed glue dots, and they had the older inked lettering with the QC numbers in each corner. The razor I used this blade in is the Parker 87R, considered to be a "mild, but efficient" shaver with a more sizable blade gap compared to, say, a Merkur 34C. My soap of choice was, as always, Proraso Red face lathered with an Omega 10019 boar brush. I went about my shave just as I always had, same technique, same pressure (or rather, hardly any to speak of), and the first thing I asked myself was: "Why am I feeling this blade more?" That's not to say it felt like I was shaving with a dull steak knife. It was very smooth, and I didn't feel any tugging, but something about the Pol Silver was less... "refined." I did my usual two-pass first with and then across the grain, and then applied my alum block just as always, and felt something I never felt before: A scratchiness and tingling all over my face. "That's odd," I thought, wondering if I might've gotten a little complacent during my shave after all, but at least I didn't have any nicks or weepers. You would think that this would mean the blade was sharper out of the box, right? In actuality, I could feel stubble on my face a bit sooner than I usually did with my Astra SPs. Now, this is admittedly not a very scientific way of gauging blade performance, but my fingers didn't lie. If I had to be perfectly honest, it was still what I'd consider a DFS, but it didn't exactly knock my socks off. How can this be? Pol Silver fans rave about how sharp these blades are, and I don't think they're lying. Still, my experience didn't mirror theirs.Shave #2 was was exactly the same pre-shave. Same days' growth later, same prep, same lather, same technique. Only this time... YOOOOOOOW! Now, you can accuse me of being a wimp, but that blade made me feel like anything heavier than the daintiest amount of pressure was going to leave my face red as a lobster, and sadly, I wasn't wrong. Oh, it cut all right, but the alum block made my face scream. Keep in mind, same technique, same fundamentals (e.g. not going over the same area too much, not shaving unprotected skin, etc.) In the interest of fairness, that shave did feel closer, but the results were a little TOO close for my liking. Now, some smart aleck would've panned this blade and given it negative three stars for turning their face into hamburger, but the fact is that at no point did these Pol Silvers ever tug or pull or give me the impression of being bad quality. If anything, I'd swear they got sharper. However, this is where your taste and mine may diverge on blades; I don't want a blade that's okay for the first shave but "breaks in" to become an even sharper one. I much prefer a blade that starts off with a decent sharpness that gradually tapers off with additional shaves and doesn't force me to change my technique with each subsequent one. Are these good? I think so, but not 40 or even 30 cents per blade good.Try these. See how your face likes them. If they work for you, great. My face, sadly, does not agree with them, much as I would've liked to justify the cost of these. (I mean, come on. For $2 more, I can get 100 Astra SPs.) I'd give you mine, but I handed my remaining tucks off to my father instead. :3Four grudging stars.

Feather Sharp
I received a pack in a blade sampler. Popped one into a 48-50 Gillette Super Speed. Reminds me a lot of a feather blade.Doesn't work well with my face. If you have a very heavy beard and don't have sensitive skin, these would no doubt work well.My favorite blade is still the Gillette 7'oclock SharpEdge. Perfect balance of sharpness and longevity. Your mileage may very.

inconconsistent
I have been using these blades off and on for a few months. I find they are not consistent. I can get 5-6 good shaves from a blade and when a new blade is put in, it will pull and nick. I do not think I am going to use the remaining blades.

These are the best blades I have ever used
I thought the gillette yellows were sharp and smooth. These are the best blades I have ever used. They are slightly sharper than yellows but less than feather although not by much. The real benefit of these is how smooth they are. Where the feathers feel rough and are unforgiving, and the yellows are smoother but not as sharp these glide right over the face and get almost as close as the feathers. Now when I say almost I mean there is hardly a difference if I hadn't used a feather I would say these gave me the closest shave of my life. Usually my beard starrs back by 6:30-7pm with the yellows and shave ready by the next morning. My face was still smooth last night when I went to bed and barely needed a shave this morning! With the feather I could have gone to the following evening before I would feel like I could use a shave for comparison. Over all these are the best blades I have come across and worthy of 5 stars.

One Star
Maybe I'm spoiled with other blades like persona or feather. But these blades just tugged on me too bad.
