Makes greasing the driveshaft a total breeze
This works great for my 4Runner. I picked it up specifically to lubricate the driveshaft, and it handled the slip yoke and spider joints with no issues. The one-hand operation is key when you're under the truck trying to hold the hose in place. I loaded it up with some Lucas Red 'N Tacky, and the combo worked perfectly. The 18" flex hose gives you plenty of reach to get into those tighter spots around the U-joints. If you're doing your own maintenance on a 5th gen, this is a solid tool to have in the garage. Definitely makes a messy job a lot easier!

Seal the threads and you'll love this one
Works well, easy to prime. The plunger lock holds well while loading the tube. The threads are machined well, and are smooth. It is a quality made gun, and easy to use. You have to apply thread sealant to all threaded connections before loading the grease. I have had no leaking or any issues with this gun.

Great no frills grease gun for the price, which I used to grease my carโs ball joints. Didnโt buy the cheapest, but this is well made. As recommended by another post, I teflon taped the 2 pressure release caps, and both ends of the hose for extra seal. Saves you from having to clean up a grease mess if any seeps out. Keep an eye out on how much you put into your joints. Get the air out of the hose before connecting. The make sure you donโt over fill the joint.

DO NOT BUY THIS GREASE GUN! YOU WILL REGRET IT!
I thought, as I'm sure many do, that a decent $25 grease gun would be just fine for the occasional greasing of a zirc here and there on my vehicles. Like many things I've purchased, I knew getting anything made in the US would be expensive, so I looked for a decent name and good reviews on Amazon for a foreign-made unit. This little number popped up and its unassuming looks appealed to me. It was just a straightforward grease gun; nothing more. I bought it and a tube of grease for my next vehicle servicing, trusting the "Best Seller" label on Amazon provided some sort of assurance it'd at least be a grease gun that worked. 4.5 stars reviewed, "WOW - this is a sure thing!", I thought. Silly me. WRONG. IT IS GARBAGE. DO NOT BUY THIS. PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, BUY A QUALITY GREASE GUN AND SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY. HERE'S WHY.... I received the grease gun in the mail. It was packaged pretty plainly, but it had everything I needed and was easy to charge and start using. Next few minutes I'm doing a quick 2-3 minute grease job on my upper control arms for my 4Runner (brand new upper control arms, less than 6 months old, zircs in pristine condition) and I realize the zirc fitting on the grease gun is not letting go. I move it around, pull, push, twist......absolutely will not let go. I do a quick google search and BAM - this grease gun shows up with all the AWFUL reviews I somehow missed in the midst of these 4.5 star ratings - which I assume are bought and paid for. I had to completely disassemble the entire grease fitting assembly to pop out the tensioning spring and get it to let loose of the zirc without ripping the zirc off (a costly replacement, more than $200). Thinking maybe I did something wrong, I tried it on the other control arm zirc and the exact same thing happened! As far as a grease gun goes, it serves the purpose of looking like a grease gun.....but not letting go of the zirc is a huge issue, could damage your equipment, and is especially bad for anyone who uses an implement for their job and livelihood. I immediately submitted for a return and then bought a quality, assembled in the USA grease gun. The grease gun I got is an immaculate piece of quality workmanship and features compared to this $25 abomination. I happily paid three times the amount for a good grease gun and couldn't be happier. I went with the LockNLube unit along with their easy release grease fitting. It is the nicest grease gun I've ever used, and I am certain it will serve me well for years and years. Today, I packed this piece of Chinese garbage for return shipping and see that it is now leaking from every thread and sealing point on the cap. I am beyond impressed with how bad this is, and a quick glance back at Amazon shows a plethora of user-submitted photos of their leaking grease gun caps and fittings. I don't know how this thing is still sold on Amazon, but please, do yourself a favor and DO NOT BUY THIS!

Excellent for the price.
35 year diesel/heavy equipment mechanic here. I'll just say for the price, this is an excellent grease gun. Probably the easiest priming grease gun I own and I have several much more expensive ones. For those who aren't mechanically inclined, the tip is adjustable for how tightly it grips onto grease fittings. Loosen it up just a bit and then you won't be snapping off grease fittings trying to pull it back off.

Lumax LX-1152 Grease Gun Works Just Fine. Please Read. Most Bad Reviews Explained.
I read tons of reviews on many of the grease guns and decided upon this gun. It is built solid and doesn't seam cheap at all. In order to avoid the issues that many others are having, I did the following once I received it: 1). Checked the tightness of the fittings. All of them were slightly more than hand-tight from manufacturer. No wonder many of these guns leak out of every location. I put teflon tape on every thread and added just a tiny bit of plumbers pipe joint compound (10,000 psi liquids); wiping off any excess so as not to contaminate grease. The compound is probably not needed on this, but I use it on any fitting under gas or liquid pressure. It's awesome. 2). Unscrewed tip and applied teflon tape & joint compound; so it would easily turn when I needed it to. I also left it loosened/unscrewed tip 1 turn; so I could easily unscrew if it got stuck on grease fitting. 3). Test fit the tip on a grease fitting, before adding any grease to the gun, and adjusted the tip so it wouldn't just pop off, but came off easily when wiggled just a bit. About 1 turn or so. 4). Loaded the gun... Pull back on handle, drop in grease cartridge, pull tab and remove lid, screw top on (leaving 1/2 turn loose to help air bleed), released bottom handle while holding finger on air bleed, then screw top on tight enough to seal, but not too tight to cut into or damage the o-ring. The handle/spring may not go all the way in. This is ok and expected. Ignore it for now. Once you pump out a little grease, you can hold air bleed and let it in the rest of the way. The gun worked fine on the 1st grease fitting (40 pumps on new bearing spindle until grease started coming out), but it got stuck when finished with 2nd grease fitting. I spun the whole gun around 1 turn to loosen the tip (since I already pre-loosened it) and it came right off the grease fitting. Other tips: 5.) If the guns stops pumping grease don't freak out; simply bleed out the air. This happened on my 2nd grease fitting. I simply held down on the air bleed for a couple seconds and let the grease push out the air. A little grease started to come out of the air bleed. This was expected and indicate that all air had been removed. 6.) If the gun gets stuck on the grease fitting, don't panic and start breaking out the hammers and pry-bars. Grab some pliers or vice-grips to loosen the tip a couple of turns and it'll come off. It should already be loose if you followed my previous suggestions. That's it. Hopefully this helps out anyone that is deciding on a grease gun or is having issues. A little patience and common sense goes a long way. Granted, I've only used this gun once and can't speak to it's longevity, but it worked great. I'll update if any further issues. I have more fittings to grease before I'm done with this project.

Does the job but will most likely leak grease and have some frustrations
It does the job of greasing your zerk fittings but possibly with some frustration. It will most likely leak grease through the seals unfortunately. Also since it doesn't have any mechanical release for the zerk fitting, it can be very hard to remove. I have struggled with removing it multiple times greasing my truck. Unfortunately you get what you pay for in this product
