These swabs have been around in all calibers for decades. They work great but each use gets them slightly dirtier and oilier. The Gun Scrubber solvent you will use to clean it will cost more than a new one, so keep several on hand.

this is a must for cleaning
This thing cleans and polishes amazingly after the brushes. Better than I thought. I will have to order more of them. Material does not "come off" the swab and it is very soft cotton. well made. I wrap a cleaning pad around it as well so I don't end up ruining it prematurely. I can definitely see other uses for it

Simple product, gets the job done.
I use this on my custom remington 870. It works great as it should. Not very complicated product and is straight to the point. It gets your barrel clean after brushing. I do recommend pairing this with the Hoppe's cleaning kit for shotgun with aluminum rod to avoid the unnecessary incompatibility problems some rods have with different brand swabs. Overall, great product.

It is very good but a word of caution
It is an excellent cleaning swap for my shotgun. Cleans it really well and doesn't cause me any problems. I am relatively happy yet neutral as cleaning is a peaceful experience for me.A word of caution though...if you rub it against your face, it will tickle. Do not do this. Tickling is forbidden in my country.
