Great for a beginner
I bought this set because it was inexpensive and I wanted to learn how Tunisian Crochet. There are times the hook gets stuck so i just grab some fine sandpaper and fix it. Thats why I took a star off for ease of use. I also noticed they had a terrible smell for a couple weeks but it has since dissipated and I no longer smell it on any of the hooks. Overall great product for a beginner!

Good for the price
Great for the price. I donโt do a lot of Tunisian crochet so I didnโt want to make a large investment. The hook is awkwardly shaped and too short, but still usable with patience. The cable is overly flimsy, but a nice length. Very bad plastic smell upon opening, seems to be fading quickly though. Overall, definitely gets the job done and worth the low price.

Excellent product
I have to amend this review: when I was halfway through my Afghan - the cable broke and I cannot finish it. I ordered an individual โLโ hook through Lion Brand to finish it! So disappointing. Excellent product, smooth, easily glides through the yarn, light weight, and more importantly, has a depression for the thumb! Itโs more comfortable to use than the other Tunisian hooks I have, and Iโm looking forward to all the other projects in the near future. I just started this Afghan today after I got my hooks! NOTE 3/25: attached is the new blanket Iโm working on. These hooks are a pleasure to work with.

You get what you pay for
They are ok. I broke a few of the hooks while crocheting. The hooks are plastic. The yarn would hang on the seams of the hook. I used an Emory board to sand them smooth. Probably ok for beginners. If you plan to crochet a lot, donโt get plastic ones.

Don't expect quality.
It snapped. There was some yarn slippage but it was manageable. It snapping in the middle of the plastic is not manageable. It's cheap. So expect cheap quality. Very disappointing.

Wife Loves These
She is new to Tunisian Knitting. Worked well for the Birthday Blanket (40inches wide) she made me. Wife said they are easy to use and easy to learn with.

Nice
I found a pattern that needed this type of hook. I had never heard of Tunisian before so that is why I ordered them. I think they are something good to have in my arsenal of supplies. I did shorten the main hook size I needed by cutting off the bead and then reattaching it. It was just to cumbersome to use for my project but for an afghan or something like that they will be great. Nice variety of sizes in the pack too.

Tacky
I really wish they sold smaller packs of these or individuals even. ANYWAY, they all arrived, smelling very plastic-y. I let them air out for a few days (maybe almost a week?) since I didn't want the smell getting all over my yarn. They definitely work and I've been working on a blanket for a couple months now, however the plastic is kind of tacky and sticks to the yarn even after so long. Admittedly I haven't looked up solutions for it. Otherwise it's really sturdy and although I was worried about the plastic bits snapping or not holding the weight of the blanket, my needle has been a real champ!
