Celluon EPIC Ultra-Portable Full-Size Virtual Keyboard

This device is a chick magnet, women always stop and ask me about it, hahaha. That being said, it is very fun to use but has limited practicality. I can type somewhat equivalently fast on my phone with my thumbs and much faster on a traditional keyboard simply because the laser will get confused if I move my fingers too quickly. But it is a blast to use and the battery life is great, as well as the device being extremely portable. And the mouse feature is nice when using my tablet, note to Apple users the mouse feature does not work on iOS. I also love that it charges with MicroUSB so I can charge it with my phone charger if necessary. Overall, definitely worth the money I paid, probably over $200 would start to be too expensive. Good price for good product.

I bought this for my partner who sits in his man cave and likes to download music/tv show etc. He has his lap top at the side of his big screen tv and views his computer screen via his tv (there is probably some tech term for this) he has all his bits and pieces on a table in front of him, tv, stereo remotes, other stuff and limited room - he was putting a wiresless keyboard on the table to use for his computer and then having to move it again, now he just has the Celluon sitting on the table, no need to move anything, make room etc, and this is why I bought it for him. After getting use to it he loves it, he just projects it onto a brown wood grain finished table top and the keyboard shows up great. You wouldn’t type out an essay with it of course.

Great idea, good form factor but impractical due to insufficient accuracy of the finger detection. Even under ideal conditions as outlined in the user manual the laser keyboard did not perform well enough to replace the on-screen keyboard. I gave up after trying for three days and went back to using the Swipe on-screen keyboard.Colleagues and friends confirmed that they are also unable to get any practical use out of the laser keyboard after me lending it to them.

It exceeded my expectation. of course laser is not clearly visible on daylight but I wasn't expecting it to magically show up in every lighting condition. reading speed is faster than I expected it to be. they advertise that it's 350 key per minute and I do believe it's true.great product, very cool

Hard to read directions, for $149 item they could print them a bit bigger and a bit clearer, and the fact you have to have a certain amount of dimness in your light and a specific type of surface....... It works well, just very limited

All Be It an awesome Idea in someones Pipe Dream, Imagine that a Holographic Keyboard!! Keep Looking into the Light whoooaaa.............Really I truly envy the individual that thought this up, I am serious he probably has or had some wicked ideas that are working and in place as we speak!! Kudos to you Idea Man/Woman, however someone missed the boat here or lets say the entire ocean, This Holographalight DOES NOT WORK, I think I maybe got one or 2 letters to work, As far as paring goes it pars right up no problem even to those el cheapo dongles ver 4.2 < 4.0.but when I turn it on it beeps a hundered times and then all the lights come on keyboard is already displayed when i double tap like directions say then start keying my name is Bill Smith when I use muscle memory and type it as I normally would here is what I get billith, instead of Bill Smiththe shift key is questionable as well as several others I think it is because on shift and caps lock it is just that a lock key or a hold down until a letter key is pressed.. dunnoOtherwise keep up the good work Idea Man..Rob

I was kind of skeptical about this device when I read about it and was not sure that it would meet my needs. Not only does it meet my needs, it exceeds my expectations. Support for the device is readily available. The learning curve on using it is quick and I find it to be responsive and adaptable to all of my devices. I have used it on my Android devices as well as my laptop. It syncs well over blutooth with all of my devices. I am still configuring it to my preferences, but I like all of the features.

I don't know that I really need this, I just wanted it. It's a cool "conversation piece" in coffee shops and cafés. There is a small problem in that it doesn't always recognize the "keystroke". Also, when I turn it on and I haven't set it on a surface yet, it will scroll through my contacts (the red keyboard is on many surfaces because I haven't set it down. Not a defect.) but I can't even figure out the sequence of buttons to scroll through my contacts on purpose.If I can figure that out, and how to send a message on the keyboard, my rating would be a 5.

It's works ok, just doesn't project very well on dark counters. You can't really make the keyboard any bigger starts to detect non keystrokes.

Not really usable, it does lots of noise, its slow to detect key press and mouse moment. When in mouse mode it should convert its mode from keyboard to plain layout.

I purchased this as a gift for a friend who is absolutely thrilled with it. The size is similar to the size of a cigarette lighter and for this reason it is small enough to always carry with you without being a burden. I'm told it works extremely well on surfaces such as tables, but is a bit unpredictable on carpet due to the uneven surface. A fantastic product for mobile workers to use in coffee shops etc, or people who travel a lot and can use it to project a keyboard onto the tray table of a plane by blue-toothing to a mobile phone.
