That Purple Thang Multifunctional 2Pcs for Sewing Craft Projects Use by Windman(Purple)

I've been sewing for 50+ years, from drapes, covered cornices, costumes, women's suits, children's quiet books, crafts, etc. Wish I had found this little gem of a tool decades ago. Since first using one, I've bought several more to share with family. They are sooo handy in helping to move fabric smoothly while machine sewing. I'm short and have to hem T-shirts if they're not a petite size. I don't have a serger -- this tool helps when I'm hemming those stretchy knit fabrics on my regular sewing machine. I always use this Purple Thang whenever I'm using my sewing machine...it has made machine sewing much easier.

Not sure how I ever lived without this! For such a tiny 'tool,' I put it on a string, wear it around my neck while sewing -- and have found all kinds of uses for it. It's a flimsy-ish plastic (though I wouldn't call it poor quality and is suitable for its uses). So happy I ordered it -- and so glad I have an extra! Read up on all you can do with it! You'll love it if you don't have anything like it. (Was cheaper than Madam Sew's version!)

The box was crushed and open, I'm lucky it made the trip. I don't think it is actually That Purple Thang as advertised because the box actually says Dritz Seam Fix Asst.

First heard about this in a youtube video about sewing face masks. I've been making masks to donate, and the pleats have been difficult to stitch: the fabric slides a bit sometimes, and the nice neat edges I want to create become a bit zig-zaggy. This tool helps guide the fabric and holds it in place until the fabric is controlled by the feed dogs and presser foot. It's invaluable, and I'd recommend it to anyone who does this type of sewing. I haven't used it for any other purpose, but I imagine it would make many craft projects easier and less frustrating.

I loved these little pointers, and of course I'm bias cause they are purple my fav color... They work both sides while I'm sewing and I never knew I needed them till I started using them. Reason for the 4 stars I wish they weren't both plastic I would of preferred one metal and the other plastic. But it's cool I should read the description more carefully!

Multi use item. I’ve put each on a ribbon and pinned one to my ironing board cover and one to the pockets in front of my sewing machine. That way they won’t walk off. I had one before that I had on a ribbon and I always put it around my neck but somehow I must’ve put it down somewhere and lost it so this way I’ve got them where I need them to poke and push and turn material and always have them handy. I may even buy a couple more to put on my cutting table

I use this every day to draw ribbons through casings and to help create crisp corners in a turned garment.

Love that it keeps my fingers out of the way, and lets me get thicker areas safely under the presser foot of my sewing machine with having them get stuck. Also love the pointed end for picking up thread loops and pushing out corners when I turn small projects! Love it, great deal, works as described. You’ll wonder why you waited so long to order one.

What's not to like!! I have one already, in my sewing box. Just bought another for DD's sewing box and my crochet bag. Such a useful tool in so many ways. Love it!!

Love this little tool, it gives good physical control over your work whilst sewing and it's also handy to check while sewing that you are keeping to a 1/4" seam allowance.
