I bought several different brands to compare the brightness of each. This was the least bright of all of them. If you want a really bright cheap light search amazon for the hictech model 100A. They sell a 2 pack for about $17.00 one for about $8. light is brighter and doesn't have a blue tinge to it.

Overall, I am happy with it, BUT, I don't like having to click through a bunch of different settings to get the one I want. And I wish it would stay on the same setting instead of advancing to the next setting every time you turn it off and on. That means you have to go through the whole menu again to get the one you had before, when you turned it off. You have to do this every time you turn the light back on. This is annoying, inconvenient, and a pain in the arse.The thing is built like a tank and weighs accordingly, not necessarily a bad thing if you want something really rugged, but it is heavy for such a small flashlight. The off-on button is covered in rubber, not plastic. From past experience with rubber buttons, I predict it will start to rip or tear in a year or two from repeated use.Someone needs to invent a flashlight that has a separate switch for mode selection. The off-on button should just be for turning the thing off and on.

There were no instructions included. Luckily, I was able to screen print each expanable view which allowed me to figure out what the "O" rings & plastic sleeve were for? For those who don't know, the "O" ring goes around the thread at the bottom of the flashlight where you screw it off to install the battteries. It's supposed to make it a waterproof seal. Since I am not concerned about water, it's not an issue for me. The plastic sleeve is apparently used to insert the Li-ion battery if that's the path that you take. I see comments about it not being bright. I don't know about anybody else, but this small flashlight lit up my entire living room (16 x 26'). I tried to look at it directly and couldn't because I found it to be blinding. There's no mention about replacing the Led bulb (screw it off at the top) which would be nice in the event that it doesn't live up to its' life expectancy. I would have preferred the color to be white and not the blue hue that it projects, that's why I gave it a 4, but for the price it's a nice light.

Not at all cheap or chintzy.Flashlight is indeed bright and can focus well for distant illumination.Only problem I had was when the battery needed charging I found the charger did not work. Asked for help from seller and community. Seller couldn't be bothered to answer. Sent several messages and no response.Fortunately Amazon stepped in and made it right. Too bad the seller refused to contact me. Won't buy anything else from them.Awesome job, Amazon! This is exactly why I prefer Amazon over all others.

Not sure how lumens are measured but I have a Wal-Mart Ozark trail light rated at 200 lumens that is at least twice as bright as this thing. 800 lumens? don't think so... maybe I got a dud. Will try the 18650 batteries and see if there is any improvement. At full focus throws a light pattern that looks like a waffle iron, which is the LED in the light. Also lens rattles in the housing. What can be expected for $8 bucks.

This feels and performs like an LED light that would cost much more. And. . it comes with both the rechargeable lithium ion battery and a 3x AAA battery cartridge. The storage case is also a nice addition as well as the included charge for the lithium ion battery. The LED flashlight feels solid and made with good materials. The LED element itself puts out a bright and steady powerful light. I haven;t measured it yet, but it seems to be all it claims in lumens. The light would be a good one to have for emergency situations, general maintenance work, household needs and sports. The SOS and strobe modes are welcome features if you are camping, hiking or out on a fishing boat and perhaps run out of fuel or your engine dies. All in all a decent flashlight at a great price.

This type of flashlight has been heavily advertised on TV. When I looked on Amazon there were several to choose from for a variety of prices. The Wophain was significantly less expensive. For this reason I order it, not expecting it to be equivalent in quality. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that it was very solidly built and performed as advertised. The first day I had it, my son repaired an electrical outlet on the back of my house. I sat on the deck and gave him all the light he needed from ten feet away. It's nice to find a bargain on Amazon.

I purchased this to replace a flashlight I lost. Unfortunately it isn't great for the following reasons: 1) It's not that bright. 2) The switch is annoying as it cycles between modes of bright, medium, dim and flash fast and flash slow. The issue here is that you turn it on and then off and to make it bright again takes about 6 clicks with flashing modes being seen. Annoying. 3) The end is sharp metal that scratches if you put it on something.If it was super bright I'd put up with the other two items, but it's just not what I was expecting. I guess value for money is pretty good though.
