L-Theanine (4 oz) Amino Acid Supplement, No Additives or Fillers

OK, so I have had great results using L-theanine to self-medicate for my ADHD. This powder is no exception, when it comes to how well it works as L-theanine. It's a kind of fluffy powder, with no flavor, and takes a minute to dissolve in my coffee, which is how I take it, but it works quite well in combination with caffeine to settle my brain and let me focus on things without having to wait for the hyperfixation fairy to decide to show up. But the problem is, I have ADHD! And any medication is only as good as you are at actually taking it. And that's something that you're going to have to think about and plan for a bit more with this powder, than if you're taking it in tablet or capsule form, already pre-measured and ready to go. I've heard this called the "ADHD tax," and you either pay it up front, or you pay it later on. So I just want to let anyone like me know, this is a very economical way of getting your L-theanine, compared to the pre-measured tablets or capsules, but you may need to give some thought to how you're going to use it, and where you're going to keep it, so that you actually do get the benefits.

L-theanine is a rare amino acid found in green tea. It induces relaxation without sleepiness. It does not inhibit speed, judgement, coordination or reflexes (it would actually aid performance on a test or a long drive). A subtle but very real relaxation takes over, much like an hour at the beach in the warm summer sun. It is best used on an empty stomach. I also use it daily at bedtime with magnesium threonate. While they do not CAUSE sleepiness, they aid in providing a mellow state that allows a wonderful slumber. Theanine (with magnesium) is not a drug. The effects are not sudden or severe (or dangerous). The powder stirs easily into coffee or tea. It can also be blended into colder liquids. An excellent product: economical and effective!

I use this product most days, and it is noticeably helpful for stabilizing my mood. It helps me feel more energized and less stressed. I put it in my coffee in the morning, and stir it up— if you go to do that put it in the bottom of the cup (mix it with any sugar) and pour the liquid over it and stir it well. Occasionally there will be little clumps but it’s not hard to stir them away. Way cheaper option than capsules.

I have used L-Theanine in capsule form for years and came across a number of health products in bulk powder form and discovered this gem of a company and their L-Theanine powder. I find the powder to be of high quality and have enjoyed the benefits since my purchase. I use L-Theanine to create a calm mood without drowsiness and have found this powder to be highly effective. I typically take a 1/8 teaspoon (approximately 350mg) of the powder mixed with water, but you might prefer a flavored beverage or smoothie. What I like best is the value and quality for your money. If you compare the 4oz of this product with the amount contained in almost any bottle of capsules of L-Theanine you will quickly realize that you will save a great deal of money over a much longer period of time than what a typical bottle will last. Highly recommend this product for those that don't mind adding powders to a beverage and tired of wondering if the capsule is vegetarian or animal based, or if what is in the capsule is the real deal. This powder is the real deal!

According to google L-Theanine is supposed to smell earthy and subtly sweet. This bag arrived and smelled like wet paint / industrial solvent chemicals. 100% not pure. Bad product. Do not ingest if your bag arrives smelling like this.

This is a great product! Blends easy, barely has any taste at all! In my personal experience it helps with appetite control and leveling sugar cravings. I love the quality of this brand!
