Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, Vol. 2 Paperback – May 5, 2009

My daughter was shell shocked when she first picked up this Series. She told me that after reading a few pages she had to stop and contemplate exactly what was going on. She has since gone back many times to re-read the series and overtime she finishes it she like it even more. Me on the other hand still can't get the humor and it leaves me in a confused state of mind. But I don't sit there and contemplate or "stew over" it either so maybe that's my problem. ;)She has since tried to get her friends to read it but alas....they don't get the humor either. Nevertheless this Series was well worth it because it's a Manga that keeps on giving and has provided my daughter hours of "stewing'.

I bought this for my daughter, she is a tween. She loves this! So do I! This book is great fun for anyone! Lots of times you can pre-order a book before it is actually available for sale. Watch the fine print for this. I bought this as a birthday gift for her last year, and it wasn't available when they said it would be, so we got it late. No big deal. Who doesn't like getting cool books for no apparent reason? Just keep in mind you may not get a pre-order book at the projected time.

There IS a story to bobobo but you probably wont care much about that. What sets this series apart is actually that it DOESN'T take itself too seriously, and all that is required for you to enjoy it is that you don't either. Every chapter is full of silly puns and gags, and because the story doesn't even matter that much you can just pick it up and read it from anywhere and laugh at the absurd situations the characters are in.

My family and I love Bo-BoBo. We were bummed when they canceled the show here in the US. This brings us a bit closer. We have actually purchased all three books that are available. I love his wacky humor and Don Patch is the bomb. Sometimes he is a bomb... :)
