TravelCross Berkeley Classic Luggage Lightweight Spinner Set (Orange, 20''+28'')

We used this luggage set for the first time on our summer trip to visit Japan and Korea during the Art Festivals. We liked its lightweight and design style, and it was easy to spot on baggage carousels than our black luggage we usually used. At the end of the flight from Hawaii to Osaka we grabbed our baggage and discovered that the largest luggage's side handle was had come off and was missing, thus making it troublesome to load into the taxi. It was apparently only fastened by a short which failed to hold with the 20 kilo weight. Should be bolted together for strength. This gave us anguish fearing the top handle could fail as well. The medium and smaller luggage has not failed but we are hesitant to use again. To prevent damaging other luggage during our many different flights I mounted some white rubber furniture bumpers which I bought. The photos show it with the top two bumpers removed to show the exposed screws after the handle came off.

Upon receipt, the pieces are beautiful and almost match a piece I already had. I ordered and used the luggage for a New Year's cruise which meant flying to and from the city's Port-of-call. After returning and unpacking I noticed a small hair-line crack about an inch long on the top of the suitcase and smaller cracks in other areas. I'm giving this 3 stars because that was the first time I used this luggage and am not sure of the durability or life-time of these pieces.

This is the first hard case type set I have and I am loving it. The large case is big enough to hold lots of clothing and everything else you could possibly need. I also didn't have any problems with the carry on fitting in overhead bins. Love that they have an elastic that keeps the clothes in place while the other side has a mesh that closes entirely to prevent clothes from falling all over the place when they are opened. They are also sturdy and very well made. No more spending $400 for a suitcase! This luggage is the best!

It’s difficult to leave a review because I’m not sure if it’s the fault of the airline or the quality/durability of this luggage. I purchased this set for a weekend get away. I used the larger and medium size bags to travel with. When we arrived at baggage claim, both pieces of luggage were already dented and scratched. As we were heading to the hotel, the wheel fell off the larger bag in the parking lot. I have heard horror stories in the past about airlines mishandling bags but I would think that luggage would be a little more durable than only one use. It was only a two hour flight.

These seem to be of good quality. The smaller case is quite tiny though, much smaller than a standard carry-on bag and really only good for overnight. Wheels are good. The lock only works on one case.

The luggage arrived quickly and I am already loving it! Keys aren't necessary: the luggage has a combination lock. There is a key slot for TSA to be able to open your luggage using the master key matching the keyhole number assigned to it. The lightweight cases allow more to be packed inside and they have a beautiful design. I'm also positive this set will stand up well once it's fully packed, regardless of what the aircrews do to it.

I love these, except the handle on the side. It broke off in transit my first use. Other than that, they are great and the hard shell is in good condition.

If I could give this product 0 stars I would. I travel frequently for work, and this luggage didn’t last one trip without breaking. First, the interior liner came unzipped when I opened it. I fixed the zipper. Second, the part of the suitcase that zips with netting to keep clothes in, the netting ripped and the zipper broke as well.I took it on a second trip, figuring as long as the outside integrity of the luggage was strong it was fine to travel. Nope. I grabbed my suitcase in baggage claim today and both handles had ripped off. I feel lucky the outside zipper didn’t break.From one traveler to another, this suitcase is not dependable. Spend a little more money for a more relatable suitcase. I regret this purchase.
