The Navarra Bible is one of the best translations of the Bible in Spanish that exists. Backed up by the excellent team of Bible experts from the Navarra University in Spain, this translation is accurate and the comments are aligned with the Magisterium of the Church (no agendas, liberal or crazy ideologies pushed in with the commentaries). The "Biblia de Navarra - Edicion Popular" is a good resource for use at the parish level in Bible studies or for devotional personal use. It has enough commentaries and cross references with other Bible passages to make it very useful as a devotional Bible and still gives sufficient information to give to the reader the understanding of the Church and get him started in personal Bible study. However, some Spanish speakers from Latin America may not like the use of the "voseo" (using "vosotros" instead of "ustedes" for plural) in certain passages.The bible is printed in white paper. I don't know if other people is put-off like me by those yellowish or creamy color papers used in some of the Catholic Bibles, so for me having a great Catholic Bible printed in white paper is a plus. The text is printed in black with the words of Jesus in red in the NT, which serves as a good visual reference to easily locate the words of Christ. The paper is thin enough as not to make the Bible too bulky, but still thick enough as not to have too much ink bleeding. The layout of the page is appealing to the eyes as well, with two columns for the Biblical text, which each verse preceded by the verse number in a smaller font. There is not too much room in the margin for personal notes. So, if writing on the margins of your bible is your thing, this version may not give you too much space for that.The commentaries are on the bottom of the page in a single column/block. The hardcover is sturdy, but the Bible is still light enough to carry. However, since the cover is shiny, it is prone to scratches and peeling, so I would recommend to either use a Bible case or to put a translucent/transparent contact film on it to preserve it.SUMMARYPros: Great translation, faithful to the teachings of the Church, good commentaries and cross-references useful for personal devotional use or in small parish bible groups. Words of Christ in red in the NT.Cons: This is not a Study Bible. For extensive commentaries it is better to use the Navarre Bible in several volumes. The use of "vosotros" from Spain may put-off some users who prefer the Latin American use of the "ustedes".

Considero que la Biblia de la Universidad de Navarra es la mejor que hay hoy en día. Hay dos razones por las cuales me ha encantado esta versión: La primera es que muchos versículos tienen notas al pie de página las cuales le agregan información interesante a cada uno; El segundo es que existe la versión audiolibro de la biblia la cual se puede adquirir en la página oficial de la Universidad de Navarra. De esta forma, se puede acceder a la palabra de Dios sin necesidad de leer todo de nuevo. Además lo encuentro muy conveniente dentro de mi método de estudio de la biblia el cual es el siguiente:1. Leo la biblia, y mientras lo hago, tambíen leo las notas al pie de página de cada versículo.2. Una vez leído un capítulo/libro de la biblia, lo vuelve a leer pero esta vez escuchando la versión audiolibro al mismo tiempo.3. Por último, vuelvo a esuchar el mismo capítulo/libro como si fuera un podcast, quiero decir, lo esucho mientras estoy acostado en la cama, camino, o hago alguna que otra actividad, de esta manera consolido lo que he aprendido de cada capítulo/libro.Siéntete libre de copiar mi metodo, espero que te sirva.En lo que respecta a la apariencia del libro, es bonito esteticamente. Aunque he de señalar que el tamaño de letra no es muy grande, aún así no he tenido problema al leer. Cabe mencionar que las páginas son muy finas, por lo que recomiendo que al cambiar de página lo hagan con cuidado para que no se doblen o maltraten.

Es una Biblia CATÓLICA muy recomendada hoy día, es comentada, muy bonita y manejable, de letra mediana/grande, satisfecha con mi compra, hoy día es difícil comprar una Biblia pues hay varios cambios y mutilaciónes en textos pero ésta es de lo más decente... (Llegó en caja, con un plástico inflado de protección, no recuerdo si traía plástico protector pero llegó en muy buenas condiciones, sin daño alguno, gracias!!!

Tamaño y peso ideal. La calidad de la hoja es mejor que las clásicas hojas de biblia. La letra tiene un tamaño adecuado para leer sin lentes.Está bien estructurada y explicada para que le des una lectura guiada o no. Los comentarios son asertivos y está toda la Biblia en un único tomo. Se abre completamente sin necesidad de poner fijaciones en la hojas. Lo único que mejoraría es agregarle un separador más ya que viene con una sola tira.Magnífica impresión en calidad, tipografía, tamaño, distribución y, lo más importante, acorde a las sagradas escrituras.
