LOT of 5 x Head MDM Custom Hand Made Tomahawk Viking Hatchet Beared Camping Axe Head, 5160 Forged HIGH Carbon Steel Head, Throwing Set Vintage AX-0687

Shipping was frustrating. They arrived late. I finally received them and they were definitely worth the wait. The quality is very good.They are slightly different than advertised. I expected a stainless or silvery finish but they have a rich gold or brassy colored finish to them. Don't get me wrong, the finish is beautiful. Just not what I expected and not quite my style.I easily buffed the gold finish off one of them with some 500 grit sand paper and it came out perfect. A nice stainless look.I'm guessing the gold finish was a protective finish and I'll probably have to take care not to let it rust after I've sanded it off.At any rate, they feel well built, they were packaged nicely, they are beautiful and they arrived relatively sharp.I'm very happy with the purchase.

They took a little bit to get here but the wait was well worth it!! The craftsmanship is amazing on these heads. They came wrapped extremely well, and they were still sharp after I removed all the wrapping. They came in with kinda a coffee etch which was supper cool. Definitely better than the pictures. I will definitely be buying from here again.

Bought a 5 piece lot of viking axe heads. Being a wholesale lot, I was not surprised to see rust on the heads in the pic. I figured "Hey, I'll remove the rust and put a patina on it; go for an antique look. No big deal. In other words, I was knowingly purchasing the items in a rusted state. Fair for the price offered.To my astonishment, the seller had kindly removed the rust and re-finished the pieces before shipping them to me. They arrived with a beautiful heat patina on all five pieces, with the etched pattern fully intact. The pattern, by the way, is beautiful indeed. They were packaged extremely well, being sharp steel and all. No chance of scratching against each other, no chance to cut anything, and packaged in a rain-proof manner to protect the items in transit. This seller is legit. It's gonna be a joy putting handles on these, and I can't wait to do business with this seller again!

I love these. There was a slight issue with shipping. My order was lost in transit and so delivery was delayed. Mdm's customer service was wonderful and immediately sent out a replacement as soon as I contacted them about the issue. After reading the reviews about these axe heads coming in better condition than the pictures showed, I was excited and expected the same result on my order. However, mine were not polished as well and were somewhat rusted despite being oiled and wrapped. The etchings on a couple of them were not as defined on the tops as other reviewers had shown in their pictures and there were still shavings and a few rough edges left from the engraving process, so I had to do a little work on them myself. However, that being said, they are amazing quality and since I knew there was a chance that I'd get them looking like they do in the seller's pictures, I was very happy when they came looking better than their pictures showed. I only mentioned having to do a little bit of work on them so potential buyers would know that your order may or may not look exactly like other buyers review pictures. My point is that even if these axe heads had been only half as good as the pictures and description showed, it still would've been a great value. So when I opened the package and found that they were even better than the seller's pictures and description, I was absolutely thrilled!!! Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and will not only be ordering from this seller again, but i would happily recommend them to anyone who was looking to purchase a product like this.

These are beautiful!!! I can’t believe the price!! Only complaint is the odd shaped eye. Just take a little extra carving to make a handle fit properly . And they are super sharp!!

I ordered them for my friend who made handles for the axe heads to sell at his small woodworking & leather business. they are really nice & well worth the price. Beautiful designs on them too.

These are everything you see and on thing you do not see. I am very pleased with the craftsmanship and the etching is beautiful. I can see why they are not cheap, but I did find one flaw that might make you think again unless you are handy like I am. The drift or handle hole is of no standard axe handle size that your local hardware store will have. I am now left making 5 handles. This is my reason for 3 stars it was almost 4 stars. The maker needs to know this is a problem or drop his price I would suggest $150 for the 5 heads.
