Mephisto Women's Barbara Wedge Sandal

This is my second pair of Mephistos. I have the All Rounder which is my go -to flat shoe. It is sooo comfortable - like a slipper. So, Ithought I'd try a more fashionable sandal with lift - the Barbara. I 'm a size 37. I tried a 36 from Nordstrom and compared the two sizes (I got a 37from Amazon. ) It was very frustrating to come to a decision but in the end I settled for the 37 . Here's why. I liked the snug fit of the 36 but aftertaking each pair on and off and on and off while walking back 'n forth from room to room in my home, I chose the 37. The footbed is larger , not aperfect fit, but because it is larger it provides more stability for my foot. The straps are not as snug (wish they were) as the 36. If you read theprint on the inside of the shoe box cover lid, it states that the most comfortable fit will have 6-7 mm from the tip of the big toe to the end of the shoe and the same from the heel of the foot to that end of the shoe. I have more than that with the 37 and less than that with the 36, so I opted for the 37 thinking that with more hours in the shoe than a quick tryout walk, my feet are bound to expand. (Also, there was under 5 mm with the36 on one foot for sure.) I've received a lot of compliments on how flattering the sandals are to my feet, a compliment I rarely receive.Hope this helps.

This is my second Barbara Wedges. I got my first pair 3 years ago after I had minor surgery on my foot, and I wore them until no shoe was left! They fit my foot perfectly and they are super comfortable and stylish! I was so glad to find them at a very reasonable price on Amazon, compared to my first pair.

These shoes are so cute but for some reason they didn't make the toe strap adjustable like they do on many of their shoes. I wear a 7B shoe so my foot is average width but these top straps were way too big so sadly back they went.

I liked the look but were not that comfortable for me. I had to return them.Too pricey also.

When I first got those out of the box, I was surprised to find the top of the strap over the foot was elastic. Didn't think I was going to like that, but I was definitely wrong. These shoes fit like a dream, snug like a pair of socks, partially because of the strap. Very comfortable to walk in. Second pair of Mephistos, and even more pleased with this pair.

These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I purchased a second pair today because I wear them all the time. They're so light that it's feels like you don't have a shoe on your foot.They feel totally perfect and secure. They never slip off your foot.Even in the heat when my feet swell, they don't hurt my feet.I love these shoes!!!

You cant go wrong with Mephisto. The shoe was awesome, except the toe was too narrow for my wide foot. I just had the shoe repair cut a relief in the leather and the shoe fits great. Definitely would recommend to a friend.

I wore these to an "event" right out of the box and they were VERY comfortable! I have a bad back and didn't have any pain or strain at all. I also have a narrow heel and they fit like a glove! I did not expect the silver color to be a sparkly silver - not my style, but my friends said they were great and I should be sparkly more often
