GardenSmith 763331 Gooseneck Swivel Connector

I bought this to solve a clearance problem with the current water faucet outside being about 5" up from the ground and pointed down. There just wasn't enough clearance to easily tighten or change the garden hose (or take it completely off for the winter).I took a chance buying this hoping it could be tightened on without twisting the whole unit, because there wouldn't be enough space in the current set up to turn this 360 degrees. Luckily, this connector is of great quality and included the washer so it fit tight and with good grip texture it was easy to do. The threads were good, too, nothing cheap about it.

Came split down side. Would like to make a lifetime warranty claim. Please advise. Didn't use for a while but didn't have time at original purchase to file claim soo

I needed these for a power washer hookup and it did the job I needed it too. I had an old Gardensmith Gooseneck, but it just wore out and needed to be replaced.Thanks to Amazon for getting these to me in the speedy fashion you did. This is an angled connector made of brass and is just what the doctor ordered for use with certain hose reels ( Liberty) Note this is a 45* bend and not a 90* angle. Couple this with another 90* piece for a smooth transition onto your hose reel with no kinks and no leaks. Remember no bubbles, no troubles.

It seems well made, but I thought I might mention that the inside diameter is fairly small, I'm guessing under a half inch, which may restrict water flow. If you are watering your lawn, you won't notice, but if you are filling a water barrel, it will slow you down, especially if you have 3/4 inch hose.

Was shipping a 45 +/- degree and not a true 90 degree. The picture appears to be a plumbing 90. Not a deal killer in my situation but, I feel like the advertising and picture were a bit misleading. Still works for my purpose but, would prefer a more accurate description.

It leaked so I tightened it use a pliers and that's when it cracked. I realize that it was probably meant to be hand tightened or they would have put a nut on the end but it was leaking and I didn't tighten it all that hard.

About all that be wrong with these elbows is that the hose washer can't seal because 1) the end surfaces have nicks in them or 2) the sealing surface was not ground perpendicular to the centerline of the tube. This one seals up fine.
