Great series for beginning chapter book readers. My second grade boys love this series.

Simple and enjoyable story with humorous elements! My 7 year old loves this series as well as Billie B Brown written by the same author.

My nephew enjoyed the fact he was reading a chapter book. This series has given him confidence to keep reading. Thanks for writing a great boys series only wish there were more.

I thought this would be a fun book to buy for our little niece who will be receiving a new cousin (our soon to arrive baby, Jack). The main character, Jack, is a moody little brat who doesn't like his cousins and doesn't want them to come over. He finally comes around at the end, but I don't want my niece to think our son will be like this little jerk! Not what I was hoping for...

We bought the entire series and my 1st grader loves them. He is a really good reader so if you want your child to read them then the average reader should be able to get through them by mid-2nd grade. Each book in the series touches on all of the plethora of emotions that kids this age experience and helps the kids see what started off as a negative experience in a more positive way at the end. Kids at this age tend to see things in black/white, good/bad but these books tend to show the gray areas of what started off as a negative situation.

These are early reader chapter books (Level J on the RIGBY scale) for first/second grade students. They are fiction and written for amusement - not intended to introduce a child to a new cousin. The keep early elementary students interested in reading. We love the series!
