Addiction Pet Foods Addiction Homestyle Venison & Cranberry Filler Free Dehydrated Dog Food, 8 Lb.

I have fed my dog dehydrated food as well as those frozen raw food tubes. I decided to try out the Addiction brand. I have tried the Venison, Lamb and Beef so far. My dog absolutely loves each one. After he has finished eating he comes running to me licking his face, his eyes all lit up, all excited. I find him licking his empty bowl over and over again. I've never seen this reaction with the other "natural" brands. This product lives up to its name! Addiction? you betcha! Warm water is added to this product. I let it sit a while till it is absorbed. I then fluff it up with a fork and serve. This product does have a wonderful aroma. I must admit that I am tempted to taste it because it smells so good! I wish I had kept the box with the ingredients for the Venison to share it with you. I will when I reorder. Although this brand is a bit pricey, it well worth it.

The absolute BEST food topper or meal! My puppy can be a picky eater; when we add this food to her kibble, she eats the entire bowl! We love that it is made with lean, high-quality game meat with a bold flavor. For an added immune boost, we are enriched with nutrient-rich superfoods like Flaxseed, Apples, Rosemary, and Spinach.

I will never buy canned food again. Both my dogs love this stuff. I mix up just a little with water and mic it for about 30 secs (they are spoiled ...what can I say) and put it on their dry food. The whole bowl is licked clean in minutes. They actually beg for it come supper time (and my one dog is a really picky eater) The only drawback is that it is so dang expensive.

While my dog really likes this food I am disturbed by the amount of hair that is in it. The manufacturer's FAQ does address the "occasional" hair in the dehydrated food and dismisses it as not harmful. I'd probably be OK with an occasional hair but every scoop of this food has many hairs in it. I am not interested in paying this kind of money for something so full of hair, a non-nutritious accidental ingredient. It makes me wonder what other things are in the food that I cannot see...

This is a quality product that my dog adores. I like it because I can make a little or a lot. We use this to supplement kibble as she is not on a raw diet. I used to make food or use a high quality can food, but find the Addiction to be a lot more convenient. Besides that, I don't like the smell of can food. This comes in plastic bags that you cannot reseal, so be prepared to transfer to an airtight container.

It was OK, but not as good as the Honest Kitchen brand. Cost a little less but did not go as far. The dogs seemed to like it though.

I have bought this brand of product in the past and have always been happy with the quality. One of my dogs has a very sensitive stomach and always responds well to this food. What I do not love is the price, and now that I have a second dog (who is a large breed) this box did not last a week between the two of them. It's much cheaper just to make their food.

Edited: Been using this food for 3 months now - my dog (white maltipoo) has NO TEAR STAINS! The vet predicted this would happen when we switched to a food without dyes. I've tried to get my dog to eat higher quality foods before, but all he seemed to like was Science Diet kibble (or, any human food that he could scrounge). We switched to Addiction just a week ago and I can't believe how excited he gets when I pick up his dog bowl at meal time. He follows me like a sheep to the hot water maker and sits at my feet while I prepare his food. He then races back to where I'm going to put his bowl, tail wagging. He eats the whole amount, every time.

I have tried other dehydrated dog food and they rehydrate very well, but not this pet food, you can tell they do not rehydrate well, and my dog's poop have been very soft since eating it, even through I did the usual transition, they have been taking it for 3 weeks now and the poop is still very very soft. Not recommending this pet food, going back to the previous dehydrated pet food.

Took a while but it is good stuff.

3 dogs refused to eat it, they liked the lamb one but absolutely refused this one, none are pocky eaters
