This was my first experience with perilla seed powder so I have no basis for comparing it with similar products from other vendors. However, it arrived in great condition in a double sealed bag and has a wonderful fresh aroma. The flavor is wonderful, reminiscent of sesame but with a deeper nuttier quality as well as hint of sweetness, Although I ordered it for a particular culinary application I find myself adding it to all kinds of things, especially as a rice topper and in stews of all kinds.

This is very good product

The perilla seed powder was not strong, had to use almost triple the amount to get the right flavor. The product was used to make traditional a Korean Gamjatang (pork bone soup). I gave it a 3 star rating, becuase it is usually a good brand, not sure what went wrong with this package. The product was not past its expiration date 2021.02.05.

I really enjoyed this healthy product. It tasted fresh and I enjoyed mixing it into warm soups or cold noodle dishes. I highly recommend this!

Tasteless, might as well use chalk powder.
