This is a high quality combination masthead (steaming)/ anchor light for boats up to 65'
The previous reviewer apparently didn't understand the purpose of this light which is a combination masthead/ anchor light. A "masthead light" is a "steaming light". In otherwords, it shines to the front and sides, not to the rear. You would need a stern light in addition to a masthead light when underway, along with port/starboard bicolor side lights.An "anchor light" shines in a 360 degree circle and is required while moored or lying at anchor from dusk to dawn. This is a very high quality combination masthead/ anchor light which is rated at 2nm visibility and therefore suitable for power boats up to 65'.

I am giving this three stars because the light is decent quality, but sadly it is not what I was expecting so I am returning it. If you are looking for a tricolor masthead light this is NOT what you are looking for. The two forward-facing lights are both white as shown in the main photograph. They are NOT green and red as shown in the misleading polar diagram. Repeat, this is NOT a tricolor light! What the purpose is of two forward-facing white lights AND an all-round white anchor light escapes me, but that is what this light does. Note that when the two forward white lights are showing there is no third light at the back. Amazon have agreed to accept the return and I will be buying this light (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AJVGW8E/ref=pd_sbs_200_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=8FSF13WGTR2CW581PJ2Y) in the hope that it really is a tricolor navigation light.

Excellent combination masthead light
I was looking for a replacement anchor/steaming light combo unit and this fills the bill perfectly. It has a 360-degree white anchor light and, wired separately, a 225-degree white steaming light combined into a single unit mounted on the masthead. These lights comply with US Coast Guard and international navigation rules for vessels less than 50 meters (Rule 23). Buyers who thought this was a bi-color navigation light did not read the specifications. (See US Coast Guard Navigation Rules, Subpart C, Rule 21, 33 CFR 84)

Good Product but Failed LEDs
We like Aqua Signal products but the latest one had 2 LEDs that were not functioning. It was returned.
