Really Works, Flexible Fit
Does its job. Since I added this to my loops, the bacteria stopped growing immediately. Definitely worth while addition to your loops if you're using distilled water. It's flexible, so you can shape it to fit however you like. I'm still new to it, but I haven't noticed any damage yet. Just don't use if you have aluminum in your loop. Most newer blocks or high end blocks are copper with nickel plating. So no trouble there. Just make sure you don't use any cheap fittings. If you order decent plated fittings from EK or Koolance then there won't by anything to worry about.

Waiting to see
Added this to my water cooling loop on my PC because the tubing started to cloud after a few years, what was in the tubing was cleanable and a light tan color but after 7 years when I replaced the tubing I decided I was going to give this a try and see if it keeps it from showing up again. The CPU block is clear and also the water reservoir is clear but no tan stuff anywhere but the tubing. I think it was ethylene glycol residue in the products I used, but now I'm using purified water and nothing else, seems to be keeping very clean and temps are much lower. Will update if it comes back.

Silver coil is great!!
My silver coil from Sidewinder PCs arrived in a tube...A tube labeled thermal paste. When i placed the silver coil into my cooling loop it clogged my system with gunky grey paste. As a matter of fact, yeah he sent me thermal paste instead of a silver coil.UPDATE: Seller sent correct item and it works great. Now i have a silver coil in each loop. :)

Old School, because it works
Knew I needed some kind of anti-bacterial to keep things happy in a custom loop, and to be able to insure myself just in case the components had some mixed metals that would otherwise cause corrosion. First one I bought of these I was able to use in my liquid loop on my main daily system for the best part of seven months before deciding it was time to flush and refill. And even then, that was mostly because I noticed the tubing had discolored some after about six months or so. Given the constant use, i can't fault it. It did its job of keeping the primary blocks and radiators clean, so some discolored plastics is hardly a reason to ding this little strip of purification.

Functional but not a good value
I tossed this in the water reservoir for my espresso maker, and it seems to be reducing how often I need to clean it out.The product description lists weight at 0.634 ounces or 18 grams, but that's the bottle. The actual silver I received is 0.0265 ounces or 0.75 grams. (0.0241 troy oz, if you're looking at silver spot prices...)Having seen that it basically works, I have purchased a 0.999 silver bar and will use a sharp tool to produce ~40 of these myself for my water pitcher, humidifier, emergency water barrel, etc..

Great for keeping pet fountains slime-free
I purchased two of these about 7 months ago to put inside a pair of Glacier Point Pet Fountains (they're really great pet fountains, and these make them even better). The pet fountains are already very resistant to slime, but it still forms eventually... until I put one of these in the line. Now, no slime at all. They still get too much dog and cat hair in them, but I can reach in and run my finger along the base or touch the fountain pump and there's zero slime. I'm really amazed at what a huge difference these made.

Great preventative measure for great price
Not much to say here. The product does very well at keeping coolant from becoming contaminated from algae and other microbial contaminants. Just drop it in the tank or reservoir and you're good to go. I actually drained my cooling system and ran some cleaner through it first. Then while the system was flushing, I put the coolant in a 1 gallon jug with this silver strip, shook it up, and left it overnight. So far so good. I have been doing daily checks to see if there is any buildup happening like before. But so far the coolant is perfectly clean and clear. No longer gets hazy after a few days of usage. For the price, why not take this preventative measure to ensure a clean, contaminant free system?

works for humidifier, maybe
I am hoping this works as claimed. Air o swiss is a mesh - more surface area? I also read that silver has to be modified silver, not just a straight silver. Price can't be beat - compared to overpriced silver from humidifier makers.BTW, the silver that came with Stadler Form humidifier rusted.I threw this in the Stadler Form, and will report back. Any slime in the container would mean it does not work.edit: amazon says I bought this in 2015. Dec 2016 and I can say that one winter passed without feeling anything slimy in the humidifier. Bestair filter says it is antibacteria treated, so can't say definitely which is helping.
