The area to hide the excess cable is a great touch. We didn't really need it, but it is definitely a great touch in many cases where the route to the outlet is exposed. We used the tape to attach it to our cabinet and it's super sturdy and didn't require hardware to mount it. The entire set up and adjustments was super easy. Their customer is great! Our original unit was missing parts. We contacted them to check if we should return it to desertcart or if they wanted to provide a replacement part. They responded quickly and acted quickly. We exchanged a couple of emails and had an entirely NEW unit coming our way. We got to keep the one with the missing part. In an entirely unrelated matter, my recent subscription to Google One service came with a perk of a new Home Hub! Lucky me! So that unit with a missing part (BTW: the missing part is the rubber pad the Hub rests on) will come into use! We'll just cut a round piece of black poster board we have laying around and call it a day! It'll be fine! At the cost of $18, this a great way to mount your Home Hub on a wall, securely and effectively. Review: CAN TIGHTEN! Great mounting options, loved how it turned out! - The reviews complaining about the drooping, again, are not bothering to tighten the ball joint. Removing the rubber stopper on the end (see someone else's review with a walkthrough) allowed me to do this. VERY stiff now, probably will loosen a bit actually. The adhesive pad is scary-sticky - I normally always mount things "properly" with screws, but I'll hold off on drilling into the wall for now, as I have confidence it'll stay up. LOVE the cable management too, really ingenious solution.

Initial issue with adhesive seems to be fixed now
First review (2 stars): This stand seemed to be the perfect solution for our tiled wall, but the adhesive gave way after a couple of days under the weight of the Hub. Will probably work fine if screwed into the wall, but we don't have that option. (1/25/2020) Update: After returning the product and posting this review, I was contacted by the vendor. They were aware of the adhesive issue and were working to improve their product. They offered to send me a replacement as soon as it was ready. Several months later, they contacted me and volunteered to send a new unit (labeled G4 on the box) at no charge. They have certainly improved the adhesive, and it seems to be holding firmly to the tile wall after one week. I'm raising the review to 5 stars for the excellent customer service and since it seems they've addressed the issue. Will follow up if anything changes.

Great design and well made. Adhesive is USELESS.
I had high hopes for this mount. It's a good design and seems to be well made and versatile. The loop fits and holds the base nicely and the way the rubber shell on the base hides the power cord is clever. BUT the "3M" adhesive applied to the wall mount is USELESS. I removed the protective paper and stuck it to my glass tile wall pressed firmly and left it sit for 30 hours. When I put my Google Hub on it, it detached immediately. I tried some other off-brand VHB tape on it and it only held for a few days. I've ordered a 3M VHB mount kit and alcohol wipes. I will not drill holes in my tile to mount a device that may be obsolete in 5 years. KIWI, just include a separate genuine 3M VHB mount pad and you'll have a perfect product.

Great option for Google Home (Nest) Hub
This is a great option to mount your Google Home Hub (Nest Hub) and offers a little versatility with some creative thinking. I previously had a mount that hung the Hub from my cabinet. It worked fine but was 3D printed plastic and eventually broke. I came across the KIWI design Wall Mount and liked what it offered but didn't want it mounted to the wall underneath my cabinet. At first, I thought I could just mount it to the bottom of my cabinet but there was not enough rotation in the ball joint to have it at a 90-degree angle to face out. I started looking at options to mount it from my cabinet and thought of L-brackets and right angel shelf brackets. Then the pipe option dawned on me and I mosied over to my big box orange store and picked up the pieces necessary to mount. I used 3/8" iron pipe pieces to fashion a right angle mount to "hang" the KIWI mount (see pics). I used 2-floor flanges, 1 mounts to the cabinet, and 1 mounts to KIWI mount. 1, 4" inch pipe, 1 elbow, and 1 close nipple. It cost $10-$12 for all the pieces. So far this is working great. Back to the KIWI. It is solidly built and does a nice job of hiding the extra cable. Based on my setup it has a good amount of range for me to tilt and rotate to different angels, toward the sink, toward the table, toward the kitchen island, etc. I did need to tighten up the ball joint a bit but this was very easy. Hopefully, the ball joint holds up as I do tend to rotate my hub regularly. I highly recommend this mount, especially if you want additional mounting options.

Bought this on a whim! And it didn't disappoint! Holds well and super clean install! Using it for a week now and the adhesive is still holding strong. I did left it for 24 hours when setting it up. So i guess folow the instructions people! Overall satisfied!

Works great for the most part until the adhesive decided that it was going to give up on the weight of the intended product. Yes, cleaned the tiles and let them dry before sticking it on. Didn't want to drill more holes into the wall. My home hub took a tumble 2 days later and was luckily saved by a cloth stack I placed underneath.

The ball joint which hold the nest hub is not tight enough and there’s no way to tighten it. Whenever I adjust the nest hub to a horizontal level angle, it tilt down itself within minutes due to the weight of the nest hub. I have to tilt up to a high angle for it to stay in place. Disappointed with this product, disappointed with other KIWI design google Home product.
