Can I forward incoming calls to my cell phone when I leave the office?

This system does not have built-in call forwarding. I use the Panasonic with Ooma Premier and Google Voice. Both of those services have call forwarding and I have recommended them to others, depending on their needs. However, you can program the Panasonic to call another number whenever you get a new answering machine message.

will a wireless headset work with this phone and can I use it with both lines?

Yes you can, you can also connect to your cell phone at the same time. I brought the NoiseHush N700m-11867 Multipoint Bluetooth Headset for Apple iPad/iPhone and All Cell Phones. And it works great.

it takes three button presses on the cordless phones, to put a caller on hold. Not hard, but there is not a dedicated button like there is on the base station.. It only takes one button press to join a call in progress, very easy.
