Absolutely delicious
This is so delicious! The first time I tried this drink, I poured myself a glass, over ice, and... I you know what?! When I finished I went and poured a second glass. YUM. I've also had this in hot chocolate and it's wonderful in that too.The bottle looks stunning. The design is great and I especially like the long vanilla pod suspended in the amber liquid. This didn't have a typical plunger type top but a screw lid. Unscrewing the lid reveals a sweet smelling waft of vanillay aroma. The taste is exactly what's teased by the scent. This goes down very smoothly. There's no problem drinking it neat. You get the flavour of the cognac, a gentle warming burn, and tones of vanilla and sweetness. This is great neat, and I guess in a mixer. I'm drinking it neat to appreciate the flavour. Also works so well in milk coffee or hot chocolate as the slight sweetness and vanilla tones really compliment a milk based drink. It's become a habit to have a small shot of this in my hot chocolate, before bed, on a dark cold autumnal evening.Enjoy! Cheers!

Perfect alone or in cocktails for every occasion
It's quite an interesting drink really. So the first thing you will notice is the vanilla stick in the bottle which gives a drink bottle a much more interesting look. Plus you can tell it will have a stronger vanilla taste as well. So once you open the bottle you can tell from the sweet aroma coming from it, it will be a nice and sweet drink. After pouring a glass and taking a sip you will be overwhelmed with a vanilla sweetness and a slight bitter cognac taste.I think there are a few ways to drink this which I tried. First is just after dinner with the dessert few small sips to help with digestion so would be kind of a good alternative to amaretto. Or just straight mixed up with ice, coca cola to create a nice little and simple cocktail. And doesn't really matter how you gonna drink it it will be a very pleasant drink. An overall good drink for every occasion to enjoy alone or in a cocktail. For a decent price. And it tastes really pleasant especially if you are in a sweeter drink.

A Sweeter Shade of Vanilla
The title on the bottle is instructive in this instance-Karavan Spirit for this is not a true cognac or liqueur, but something in between. The packaging is elegant with a nicely designed bottle with the most notable feature being the fat Vanilla pod suspended in the liquid. This gives a fair clue to the flavour profile which begins with a very strong note of Vanilla which combines with an equally prominent note of caramel sugary sweetness. For me who is primarily a drinker of straight spirits this was a bit too much for me, but if your palate tends towards the sweeter end of the spectrum then you may well find this right up your alley. The finish is where the white grape of the cognac comes to the fore with a sharper note although the moderate accompanying burn suggests they don't have much age to them. Finishing a small neat measure I was left thinking this blend of flavours might work best served in two other ways-firstly as a base for a hot Brandy Coffee where the sweetness would take away the need for added sugar whilst the vanilla would well with the milk. Following on from this, the other way would be to add them to an Egg Nog or Milk Punch where again the flavours would compliment the recipe. The price is in the ball park for a flavoured spirit perhaps rather towards the top end, but the real issue here if if you like sweetness and a pervasive kick of Vanilla and Sugar in your spirit.

Delicious and sweet with a real vanilla kick
I finally got around to opening this last night and it is a really nice sipping drink. A high quality cognac with a whole real vanilla pod added. I could really taste it and it adds a delicious sweetness. I can see some reviewers could not taste the vanilla so maybe it just needs longer to infuse. I love it. Expect it would be very pleasant with a mixer too but I am enjoying it neat as a dram measure. Smooth, sweet with a natural vanilla taste.

This is indeed a great drink, personally prefer it without ice
Let's start with the bottle, this beautiful drink comes accompanied with a beautiful bottle, continuing yet our most curious observation, it is possible to visualize the cinnamon stick inside the drink which makes it even more beautiful. After the initial astonishment we can open the bottle and let ourselves fall in love with the magnificent aroma coming from the drink. It was a delight to let my mouth absorb some of its magnificent flavor before letting it go down to its final destination. This is indeed a great drink, personally prefer it without ice, I fear that the ice significantly diminishes its original flavor.

Hits the spot. Quite sweet though.
The bottle looks the part. Especially with the vanilla bean inside the bottle. It it quite sweet but goes down a treat.

Full of sugar! Not advertised…
This isn’t cognac and vanilla, it’s cognac and syrup with vanilla.Nowhere on the page does it mention the sugar. Not happy. Sickeningly sweet.
