My husband loves everything Pratchett he loved the book

The Discworld Diairies (sometimes Yearbooks etc) came out around 20 years ago, featuring lots of excellent Paud Kidby art and fleshing out characters and institutions from the books. Some had only been alluded to in footnotes, or entries in the Companion; others were entirely new, presumably picked from Terry Pratchett's hard disc.Then, as diaries do, they went out of print. And lo, did the second-hand prices skyrocket.Happily this book makes the content available again - not the weekly grids of course, but the surrounding world-building material. It's cheaper than picking up the Unseen University, Assassins Guild, Thieves Guild and Post Office diaries second-hand.Depending on what makes the cut, expect either one or two further volumes in future...While the page size and general layout makes the text seem a bit sparse, with only a few sentences on most pages, it does give the art more of a chance to shine.It is perhaps less exciting than the original diaries because it's reprint material. If you never saw those, you might rate this at 5 instead of 4 stars :)

I was surprised to get a hard back book for the price I paid. It is a good size and is beautifully illustrated. And good quality, it was delivered well packaged and on time.If you love the world of Terry Pratchet, then I would throughly recommend this book.

Saves hunting down an increasingly expensive range of prior publications.

It's a nice book. It's very square. It looks superb on the coffee table.The paper inside is nice and heavy, and not at all suitable for outdoor/smallest room reading matter. You have been warned.

Beautiful book but disappointed that it arrived damaged
