A great concept ruined by poor execution
I recently bought a dinosaur book from the same publishers, which has been an enormous hit with my little grandsons (2 and 3), so I was expecting this to be of a similar quality. Unfortunately, the concept, while good, is poorly executed. The idea is to identify which object out of eight pictured on each spread begins with a specific letter. So far so good. Unfortunately, many of the objects are quite hard to identify, even for an adult! Others are objects that are completely alien to the average 3-5 year-old (a fire extinguisher, gold bars, a barrel, a padlock). There must be hundreds of everyday items that children in that age group could more easily recognize, so why choose weird stuff like that? It’s like the illustrators just plucked items out of thin air without giving any thought to their suitability.Another gripe: there’s a picture of a cash register with the amount 20,50 displayed on it. For a British audience, the comma should, of course, be a full stop. This is either carelessness or laziness, but either way, it’s simply not good enough. With a little more care and attention, this could have been a brilliant idea. Instead, it just looks like someone trying to make a fast buck. Very disappointing. Thanks for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful. Disappointing
This looked like a great book for my little granddaughter who loves I spy.Very disappointing! Some of the pictures are hard to identify.A for axe! A question mark for ‘Q’ O for onion & not a very good pictures. Why not apple, Queen or octopus? In addition the front & back cover were creased which only made it worse.I would never give a damaged book so unsuitable gift on every level.

Fun book once your kids at school
Purchased for a pre Schooler, he likes it but a bit advanced for his age. Your little one really needs to know their alphabet to get the most out of this book.
