This lock is very sturdy, very easy to use and gives me so much peace of mind. If you are even slightly concerned about something destructive happening to your car I would recommend this lock.

Absolutely Secure. The keyless feature is it's best feature. No need to worry of losing your key or having it stolen. Changing the code is very easy. But most of all I have piece of mind. They may steal my tires, or catalytic converter, or items in the car but at least they won't steal the car. High quality and well made.

Revisando todas las variantes de trabavolantes disponibles elegí este por varias razones.Positivos: 1) Normalmente en los trabavolantes baratos y de mala calidad, las horquillas (la parte que se "amarra" a cada extremo del volante) que se traban en el volante son largas y delgadas, esto es muy malo pues la forma de violarlas es usando un tubo y hacer palanca en la horquilla hasta que se doble o rompa. Con este trabavolante, las horquillas son muy cortas y bastante gruesas, y la parte mas larga de cada horquilla queda detrás del volante al ser instalada, es imposible hacerle palanca con un tubo para romperla. 2) El material es muy bueno y robusto pero esto también puede ser malo para algunas personas: este trabavolante es PESADO para los estándares normales, pero también por eso es seguro y de buena calidad. Si no se instala correctamente puede quedar presionando la bocina del automovil, así de pesado es. Puede servir para romper vidrios en caso de emergencia, o como arma. 3) Se bloquea/desbloquea con código numérico, así que evita el fastidio de tener una llave extra y hacer más lento el proceso, los ladrones no tienen una cerradura que forzar. Los números son grandes y legibles, y la rueda te comunica bien con un click cuando el número está en posición. Hay un punto negro que indica la posición correcta de la fila de números que desbloquea el trabavolante. 4) El brazo es suficientemente largo y cubierto de espuma. Recomiendo dejarlo hacia abajo y contra el asiento. Evita que el ladrón siquiera se siente frente al volante.Punto negativo: 1) El color. La gente debe entender que todos los sistemas como este de alguna forma pueden ser violados, y que en realidad actúan como elemento disuasivo. Un ladrón prefiere un vehículo sin nada a uno con travavolante, pero el color no ayuda a hacerlo llamativo. Yo forre las horquillas con cinta eléctrica de color amarillo. 2) Aunque la descripción habla de una marca "Veckhom" la verdad es que este es un producto genérico fabricado en China, lo que me hace dudar de su calidad a largo plazo, espero equivocarme. Pasa que hasta la caja en la que viene genera suspicacias, pues venía en una caja de cartón lisa sin ningún texto de marca, solo aparece el origen China y con un pequeño manual que indica como ingresar la clave y eso es todo. Si tuviera algún problema actualizare esta reseña.

You cannot simply change the code by simply using a screw driver to remove the change code screw. The code must be correctly entered into the device before you can move the lever that the change code screw holds down. This is a very heavy duty device. The only way I could make it better would be to make it all yellow so its easier to see

This item is very heavy and sturdy, however the brand advertised was not the one I received. The one I received has no brand name sand it was made in China. I have no issue using this “generic” brand but I don’t think it jives with what was advertised, so I am giving it 4 stars for that reason.The product itself: This off brand is still very sturdy, heavy in weight and size, so I kept it instead of returning it. Everything is made in China anyway but I just wished they are honest about the off brand from the gecko. It works well, very heavy in weigh and size as mentioned and I like that.

Simple and so far effective

I bought this because it uses a combination. So, even if a thief has my keys, they can't easily steal the car. I'm impressed with how easy it put on and remove. Verry happy.

Bought it and used it for two years on and off. Today the lock broke in the locked position on the steering wheel. Combination lock malfunctioned. Stuck in the middle of shopping center. Had to find a hardware store with a special hacksaw spent 30 minutes cutting it in half. People were looking at me cutting this lock no one called the cops or asked if it was my car. LOl Crazy! Any way will not buy again. CC
