I got this reel as a birthday gift and thought to myself "it looks cool, but how does it cast, and retrieve?" Well let me tell you after taking a look both inside and out, it look decent. The only thing is the spool tension dial could use a little attention, being that its a nylon bushing for the spool to spin against, its going to take a little more finesse to dial it in.. And then it hit me, I took the metal backing disc out of one of my OLD reels put it in the spool tension cover, and BAMM!!! With the metal disc in with the nylon disc, this thing can cast a country mile, and the retrieve is smoother than what I totally expected, so now it earned a spot on the deck of my bass boat......

Nice and smooth as glass,BUT very hard to adjust the braking mechanism had no adjustment bird nest every cast... this was not my first bait caster I have several the only bad is that I use 10 pound mono and this reel is not user friendly with light weight line I'm sure it works well with 12-15 pound test line just not for me.

I originally loved the reel. It was smooth and super sleak. It looked awesome and it felt great, however, after getting it professionally lined and using a 5o pound test on it, it was very difficult to use. The drag was not able to be adjusted to the point where I could cast it without the tangled mess that comes with a baitcaster.

Good product, just hard to tighten the reel speed

These reels are " pretty" junk ... The bearings are the worst I've ever seen ; even in cheaper reels ... The construction is cheap, cheap, cheap... They are very difficult to set up to cast without a birdsnest and then you need to be more experienced ... I bought these for my wife; to be her first baitcasting reels ... What a huge dissapointment they turned out to be ... Take my advice and do not waste your money unless you just plan on using this reel for a display ...

this reel looks cool, but thats about it. 1st time i put it on a pole, rite away i said gosh this feels CHEAP. and it is. this reel is for looks and thats about it. only way to cast and NOT get backlash is have the brake on full. and whatever you do, DONT put any mustard on your cast... = instant backlash. i dont know about you, but most of my casts have something xtra on them almost every cast.

The color of this product sold me this reel. And durability not impressed at all not worth the investment. Don’t let the looks fool you
