I've used this to hold a water bottle under my seat on my bike. Most times it'll hold the bottle, but sometimes under the right condition, the bottle goes flying off!It's not a knock on this product, but a knock on the bottling industry as a whole, they've been shrinking the bottles and using less and less plastic without regard for 'how are you going to hold this?'It's extremely leak-proof because it goes around the neck of a closed bottle. It doesn't form a water-tight seal anywhere, so it's VERY leak-proof!

Wanted to use this to hang a standard sports bottle to my daughter's backpack since her backpack doesn't have a bottle net or holder. The ring was very, very hard to stretch around the bottle opening to get on the sports bottle, but we eventually got it on. The carabiner is a bit small to clip around her backpack straps - I didn't realize it was smaller than a standard size carabiner. And my daughter hasn't quite got the dexterity to pinch the clip and hook it to her backpack yet. So, no fault of the product or listing, but it didn't quite work as we would have liked.I also tried the spare ring on a regular disposable water bottle and it slipped off the neck of the bottle, so I'm not sure it really would have worked as advertised.

I've used these clips on several section hikes on the Ozark Trail and they're great. I probably put 100 miles or so on one of these and it's endured very well. No sign of wear so far. I use these on .5L and 1L Smart Water bottles and they fit snugly over both caps and I simply pop the sport top on it and take a drink. One thing to note is that this sway on your shoulder strap, i.e. the bottle will swing back and forth. I tuck/secure mine on my chest strap which is kind of a pain, but it beats reaching back like a turtle to fish for my water bottle in the side pockets of my pack.

We use the kind of stainless steel water bottles (17 oz) pictured, these fit. Not real easy to get on but that’s a GOOD thing because they’ll stay put! Like the way the clip works, easy to use. Since we’ve only had these a few days I can’t tell yet how durable they are (either the silicone or metal clip) but they appear well made.

the ring is a little too small for my bottle (the ring doesn't fit perfectly in the bottle neck groove) but it still works so well! So happy I have this now. I guess the silicone really grabs onto it. Carabiner a bit flimsy but not bad if you are just walking around with it on your keys or bag!

I tried to use this for my dog when we go walk and put it on a Niagara water bottle, didn't even leave the house and it slipped off. I don't recommend for plastic water bottles

I purchased these to used with disposable water bottles which I have to use for work. The top of the water bottle is too small so it falls right out of the holder. I tried tying a rubber band around the neck of the water bottle which helped somewhat but I still had to keep checking to make sure the bottle stayed put. And, BOTH of the carabiners broke immediately.

Does the job but bottle has to be a specific size to fit
