Endangered Species Dark Chocolate Bar with Hazelnut Toffee (72% cocoa)

Let me start by saying if you're one of those chocoholics that like the sweet n sugary taste of milk chocolate, this is not for you - unless you want to take a very memorable trip to the Darkside! : ) I had the immense pleasure of tasting this chocolate because someone gave me a bar for my birthday. I shared the coveted birthday bar with my hubby and that was it...he was hooked. We searched the store it was purchased at time and time again, and although there were other types of this brand of chocolate...the "Rhino" spot was always empty on the shelf. We looked at other stores in our area and still, no luck on the elusive rhino bar...then I decided to look online and WOWZERS, there it was! My mouth was watering for that semi-sweet, not too "dry" taste with the little flecks of hazelnut just at the sight of it. I ordered a case of 12 bars for my hubby for Valentine's Day as a surprise for him and he was like a kid in a candy store...(almost literally). It's got a great "not too dry" feel on your tongue, and the flavor is phenomenal. It pairs very nicely with red wines as an after dinner treat or on it's own as you sit down to watch a movie. If you like dark chocolate and aren't allergic to hazelnuts, I'd definitely say this bar is for you. Now that I know I can purchase it at Amazon, the only problem I have is getting hubby to share his Valentine's bounty!!

Very chocolate forward 😋 👌. I like both hazelnuts and toffeeb and the dark chocolate keeps it from being "too sweet" (and don't ask what that means because I love most desserts -- as long as they aren't "too sweet" 😅). I saw this on YouTube video complaining about the major chocolate companies replacing cocoa butter with cheaper oils. Keep in mind, I really am one of those weirdos who can buy a box of Pepperidge Farm cookies and eat one or two a day, not that I have never eaten an entire bag 🤣.

A little on the expensive side, but it's a good chocolate bar I did not check the content of the sugar but I can't complain if not for the price I'd buy again

These bars don't expire for 6 months, so it isn't that they aren't fresh. But they seem a little dry. And I was just expecting something more substantial in the combination of hazelnut toffee, maybe after trying the Ritter bars, that are chockablock with ingredients. These bars have tiny specks of what I guess is supposed to be the hazelnut toffee very thinly scattered in the bars. I'm sure they're great for those that like this ratio, but I was expecting more.

Absolutely best chocolate. Do not eat .any other brand

I usually buy these at a local store so I know how they are supposed to taste. These taste terrible!!! They must have melted and re-cooled them!!! I want my money back! Throwing them out!!!

Delicious! I can't have a lot of sugar, so I indulge in a square or two of dark chocolate each day. This brand is my favorite so far in terms of taste and quality. It's a better deal getting them in bulk here than at my local store. I had to change my review from 5 stars (the product itself) to 3 stars because after testing a few bars, they tasted chalky and a little "old." I've had this product elsewhere so I know it's good, but this particular batch delivered was not good. I'll have to stick with buying them at my local store--costs more but at least I know they're still good.
