Spikes are easy to pound into the ground
This product was used to deep water my rose bushes and my lilac bush. I place the hose into the top of the spike and water comes out through the holes in the spikes which keeps the plants dry and waters deep. Easy to use and keeps the area under the roses clean.

I would highly recommend these especially if you are subject to water rationing
I have used these watering stakes for several years and would not water my trees any other way. They are well made and really deliver the water deep into the root zone, even in our hot, dry climate and work very well with my existing drip watering system. I would highly recommend these especially if you are subject to water rationing.

These come in extremely convenient in watering our trees. There was a 4 year drought in our area so we already used the spikes after attending a gardening seminar about living in drought conditions several years ago. Will buy again as we add trees to the property!

Good for trees
They seem to work well. I put them into some existing holes, so placement was easy even in our drought-hardened clay of California. They seem very sturdy.

Concept seemed great in theory only
I have clay soil and it was hard to pound it into the ground. I bought the 24-inch and 36-inch too, which is a waste of money. I bought them to water some newly planted trees that are 2-3 inches in diameter at the trunk. If you use this drip stake, you would have to use three or four of them so that you are not watering only one side. That means you have to have four hoses going or you have to move the hose from stake to stake. Or position buckets with holes over the stake. The idea seemed great in principle but it wasn't effective to water the rootball crown. In the end I used buckets with a small hole at the bottom to drip water my new trees. I put 2-4 buckets per tree so they get watered evenly. It was unsightly but I only had to do it twice a week at first and after two months I did it once a week.

All good
These are very durable and well designed. The vendor was great as I provided the wrong shipping address and they managed to change it after I submitted the order. The stakes take quite a beating. I bought more for my growing trees after installing some 2 years ago. All good.

Works
Does what it says on the tin! Makes watering shrubs easier knowing that the water is getting down to the roots.
