Not a half baked idea at all.
Fancied these metal rimmed silicon baking pans as I have had some success with the standard ones. which work well but suffer some distortion. The bread always just drops out with no mess. Having tried with these baking pans? the results are excellent. Shape is better but the silicon is thin enough to allow heat transfer for an even cook. An excellent product all round. All of the items have been used very successfully, they clean easily and seem very durable and solid due to the metal edges.

Easier to use!
With fitting the metal edgings around the edges of the silicone baking set is an excellent idea. Makes the handling of the baking trays easier and firmer - not floppy. But, as usual, you have to use care in removing the item when still warm from the oven.
