L'Oreal Kids Pear Tangle Tamer, 9 fl. oz.

One whiff of this product takes me back to the days of my mom spraying it in my hair after a beach-day and the tangles brushing right out!On a nostalgic whim, I purchased this product as an adult. I now use it EVERY DAY. I used to use a fancy "leave-in conditioner" spray, but I found this works 100x better, is a fraction of the price, and has that amazing smell. I will admit that the smell might get a bit sickening if you wear too much of it too often, but I still always get compliments on the smell and my hair looks shiny, healthy, and I'm saving money!I know I sound like an infomercial, but I promise this stuff works. I actually really dislike most loreal products, but this one is an exception. If I worked for their marketing department, I would totally make this an adult product and jack up the price (but shhh don't tell them that!!).

I bought this for my preschool aged daughter who has fine, medium length hair. It works great for her! It easily allows combing or brushing with out tears. My teenage daughter also tried it with her fine, super thick, very long straight hair and now uses it every day! I also use it on two of my boys who wake up with bed head. The scent is wonderful-it smells a little more like apple to me than pear. It's really great if their hair needs a little refreshing, but we don't have time to do a shampoo. It dries without looking greasy.I don't know how it does on curly hair, as we only have one child with waves and the rest straight, but this is a product that I'll continue to use because it delivers what it says and makes our mornings much easier! I would also recommend The Wet Brush Rubberized Wet Detangle Shower Brush (Colors May Vary). This brush along with the Loreal spray is a fabulous combination!

My son has long hair, which he rubs into the pillow while he sleeps. When he wakes up, he has a rats nest that could rival the best of them. We were to the point where we were ready to cut his hair. I have tried other leave-in conditioners, and none of them worked very well. Every morning, we would have tears as I would try to brush his hair. Then, I found this; no more tears in our house over brushing hair! The smell is great, I can actually get the tangles out of his hair, and he gets to keep his long hair! I can't wait to see how this works on my daughters VERY fine hair once it gets a little longer! The only complaint that I have is that it gets very sticky if he sprays too much. As long as it is used in moderation, it is the best product we have found!

Great product. It doesn't weigh down my hair and make it look oily like detangling sprays for adults.

I have one daughter with medium-textured, very wavy hair that makes horrible "bed head" every morning, and I have another daughter with super-fine board-straight hair that gets into some of the worst snarls ever. Every other product I've tried has either left a heavy residue on the fine, straight hair, or weighed down the wavy hair, or not done the trick to loosen snarls and tame bed head. (Some of them have been no better than using water on a comb.) THIS one, howevever is PERFECT! It's great if my son wakes up with weird spikes from being face-planted in his pillow. It's perfect for my daughter's wavy hair because it loosens up the bed head for worry-free combing but doesn't way down the wave. It's perfect for my other daughter's super-fine hair, because it is just slick enough to loosen the snarls but doesn't leave a residue on her hair.

My daughter (who has hair like Rapunzel) likes this product, even though she is a teenager. So it's not just for mom's to use with babies and small children... We go through a couple of these weirdly shaped bottles every year (why are they fish?), and I'm assuming my daughter will keep on using it (if long hair remains popular) until she goes to college. I have no first-hand experience of it, but when my daughter asks me to, I just reorder, so it must work well for her. I remember how painful it was as a child with long hair to have adult's brush through it when it was tangled, and those are nightmare episodes no one should have to endure, so I'm glad such a product exists.

Short story... Don't buy this, it doesn't work. If you want to know why, then feel free to keep reading.I purchased this (for myself) because it had a 4 star average review. Maybe the older reviews were for a formula that they no longer use? I don't know how it could have such good reviews otherwise. This does absolutely nothing to detangle hair. I have straight, slightly longer than shoulder length hair, and I just needed a little extra help getting the comb through my hair after showering. Not only did it not work, it dried out my hair (feels like I just climbed out of the pool) and my hair color washed out so much faster, and I only used this 3 times. The scent is also pretty awful, smells really sweet and chemically, luckily the scent goes away after 5 minutes.

I'm old. Yeah.. 55 yrs old. I was mad at Aussie for discontinuing their "Knot Forgotten" rinse.. which was originally named "Slip". But then I found this detangler from L'Oreal. What a lifesaver! I was skeptical that it would work on dry hair -- but it does. :) And the fragrance is so nice.. not overpowering.. just a really great product. My hair is long, dry and wavy. It has a wild party when I sleep at night. This produce solves the problem and is my new favorite. Thanks L'Oreal, you've put a smile back on my face. Thanks to Amazon for listing this product and for allowing us to write reviews. If it were not for the previous reviews, I would not have tried it. It's hard to just buy something off the shelf at the store if you don't know if it really works.
