Verbatim - Great High Quality DVD+R Dual Layer Discs with AZO Recording Dye 📀👍😀 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My 2009 Sony HDD/DVD Recorder is very temperamental with the type of discs I use and most of the previous brands I brought have all failed on finalising or stopped mid-recording so have been looking for discs that I can use with no problems and these Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5GB 8X with the AZO Branded Surface have worked perfectly so far.📀👍😀PRICE- I am happy with the price that I pay for the Verbatim DVD+R DL 50 Spindle Pack on Amazon UK and USPURCHASEDI have purchased three 50 spindle packs so far from Amazon UK and am just coming to the end of the second pack and only two of the discs have failed. 📀👍😀PLAYBACK: PICTURE 📺📺 👍 AND SOUND QUALITY🔊🔊👍DVD RECORDER/DVD PLAYER: The picture and sound quality is outstanding when played back on my Sony HDD/DVD Recorder and my other Sony Blu-Ray/DVD Player. 👍😀📀PC: When played back in my HP computer CD/DVD Writer/Player the picture quality is quite grainy but sound is perfect but I am not sure if it is because it is a computer drive or if it is the software I use to play it back on.- I would definitely recommend Verbatim DVD+R DL 50 Spindle Pack 📀✅☑️👍😀AMAZON UK / AMAZON USI normally order my Verbatim DVD+R DL 50 Spindle Packs from Amazon UK but none were available at the time and as they come from the US I ordered them via Amazon US.AZO RECORDING DYE 📀📀📀📀Each disc has Verbatim's advanced AZO recording dye so it optimizes the read/write performance so I think that is why these discs have worked perfectly in my DVD Recorder where as other DVD+R DL Discs have not even though I am not an expert. 📀 ☑️✅- I have not tried using these discs on a computer high speed double layer CD/DVD writerTO NOTE 📝I did email the seller with my order on Amazon US as 'AZO' is not printed on the discs I have received where as my other discs had.I been reassured by the seller that the discs I have purchased still have the AZO Recording Dye Technology even though 'AZO' is not printed on them.

Excellent quality for burning - more space can equal less compression
Thanks to the consensus of reviews here on Amazon I decided to go with these for a huge archiving job that involved digitizing material from VHS cassettes and burning DVDS, as well as cloning and copying older DVDs, using a MacBook Pro and an Imac as two separate workstations in almost constant use for several weeks. These discs worked like a charm, and did so on both machines with a variety of programs including Encore and DVD Ripper pro. And, importantly, I've had no problems with anyone being able to view any of the burned discs, whether they were watching on a computer or via a dvd or blu ray player. One nice benefit of dual layer size dvds that somehow never occurred to me until I started using them is when I decided to use 8.5 size and not restrict some content to fitting on a single layer DVD, I found I was able to get noticeably better quality images. Example, a 90 minute recording on vhs would wind up filling a single layer dvd fully, using Adobe Premiere to capture and edit then Encore to burn - but using the same project with a dual layer dvd as the burn media allowed Encore to do less compression and the end result looked better than single layer dvds I'd burned. This is because instead of having to squeeze these programs to fit 4.7 GB, Encore used the extra space, burning the same program to a size between 5.8 GB and 6.8 GB typically. The end results, when viewed along side one another, were superior to the single layer burns I'd done, so I've switched to using only dual layer discs from now on. And since I've had zero problems with Verbatim, despite reading about others encountering problems when trying to burn dual layer discs, I'm sticking with this brand.

• Digitize VHS movies and keepsake your memories forever
Many of us are converting VHS tapes to digital formats that will be, eventually, transferred to computers, smart phones, and other digital devices. An analog (VHS) to digital (DVD) conversion can be either an intermediate or final step in the digitation process. For some of us, just preserving our home movie memories to optical disks is a welcome alternative to keeping bulky and obsolete VHS analog systems using tapes that are both magnetically and physically deteriorating. One method to accomplish this task is to use a VHS-to-DVD transfer/conversion system. These decks, e.g. SONY, will facilitate a relatively easy conversion, but you need a good quality DVD recordable disk to complete the process. These disks are dual-layered (DL) which means that both the storage capacity and recording time is doubled for the disk. This is good news for those of us who have recorded tapes exceeding two hours using the extended play (EP) feature of VHS cameras. And since most DVD conversion decks will allow the option of a DVD recording at a “higher” quality level than Standard Play (SP), this feature will improved the appearance of the VHS transfer to disk recording. For the sake of preserving valuable recordings, I regularly select the High Quality (HQ) recording option of the DVD deck, and this option has always improved the quality of the transferred movies. But there is a tradeoff, and this is where DL disks become an important choice. Using the HQ recording option means that the maximum recording time for a disk will be reduced, but the DL disks have extended already the recording time beyond the total time of standard, non-DL, DVD disks. For me, this is a welcome win-win situation.Note: Only newer DVD decks are able to use DL disks; this fact can be verified by consulting the User's Manual of your device. For older decks, the standard Verbatim DVD recordable disks would be used instead.I have used Verbatim recordable media for many years, and for the most part these disks have worked remarkably well without incident. A few times I did discover a visible glitch on a disk when the deck failed to finalize the disk. You can usually spot these glitches as a small discolored spot on the disk‘s recordable-side surface (a magnifying glass is needed). Fortunately, these problems have been rare. Kudos to Verbatim. As a final step in the conversion process, I use a computer and DVD-reader to transfer these movies from DVD disks to .mp4 or .mov files. If you take this final step, then you will have accomplished the task of digitizing and preserving your movies—forever. I've done this with hundreds of hours of movies for myself and friends desiring to keepsake memories for ourselves and our future generations.

Good product!
I haven't used this one yet, but I've used Verbatim before so I expect it to perform great.Unfortunately I don't burn DVD's as often as I used to because digital storage took over :)

Funcionan perfectamente
Se han grabado bien y sin complicaciones. Dado que son de doble capa siempre hay que grabarlos a la velocidad especificada en el jacket y no darán problemas.
