Good, but not as pictured
I ordered this replacement battery for my mower. The battery works fine. This doesn't seem to matter, but the battery I received is different than the one pictured - it has a battery life indicator on the top. It is basically the same battery other than that, though. The indicator is not needed since you can hear when the battery is getting low anyway. I think most people who order this for their mowers already know how heavy these things are, but if you don't have the mower yet - you should be aware that these batteries are quite heavy and can be difficult to get out of the mower Mine have gotten stuck a few times, and the weight of them makes it that much more difficult to get it out. Spraying soem wd-40 on the bottom and sides seems to help.

Runs like new, able to mow a large yard in ...
Runs like new, able to mow a large yard in 1 charge with the exception of the rainy season which coincides with the weed and feed season making for very thick and lush grass and narrow windows of opportunity to mow. Not the batteries fault. Our last battery lasted about 3 years and still works but doesn't make it as far as it used to. Good back up if needed. I checked the price to replace the batteries inside the plastic case rather than the whole unit and found it was a better deal to order the whole unit through Amazon (just in case anyone is considering it).

Doubles my mower's run time
I have a B&D SPCM1936 lawn mower and was unable to mow my lawn on a single battery charge. I have about 1/5 of an acre of lawn and St Augistine grass, and the combination would kill my battery about 3/4 of the way through the job. I bought this so I could finish the job without taking a break to re-charge. I was plesantly suprised to see that this came with a charger and also included a battery level indicator built into the battery. It is an exact duplicate of the battery that came with my mower, except it is grey instead of black.

That's to be expected with batteries like this, so they're ok
it works well in my Black and Decker lawnmower. They seem to last about 3 years or so, then they won't hold a charge as well. That's to be expected with batteries like this, so they're ok. Someday battery technology will get a little better and they'll last longer and cost less. Using electric lawnmowers is better for the environment, but you still have to dispose of the battery somewhere. Hopefully, they can be recycled.

No more gas cans in the house!
The battery shown by Amazon is the one without a charge indicator however the battery received is a genuine Black and Decker with a charge indicator and a charger, both just like the originals that came with the mower. This purchase combined with the mower and an electric trimmer allows us to eliminate gas cans from the house entirely. We find electric lawn equipment to be a significant improvement in noise, safety, and convenience. No more trips to the gas station with cans of gas in the car ever! No starting issues, no gas spills, no scary fuel vent issues on hot days, etc. Battery could be lighter, run time could be better, and the price could be lower. We needed a second battery and charger but if you are just replacing the original you might think about rebuilding instead. The 3 internal WP12-12 batteries sell for about $25 each so it would be about $75 to rebuild the original pack...

Spare Lawnmower battery
Bought this one as a spare/back-up for my lawnmower. This type of battery, when fully charged does not allow me to complete mowing my yard in a single charge...so I bought another. Now I have 2 fully charged batteries. When I mow my lawn, I go through the first battery until it winds down...then I just swap it out with the second battery and finish up the lawnmowing job. Easy to swap out. Battery works fine. One good thing with this battery lawnmower...no gas to buy, store, and pour. Had no problem at all with ordering a 2nd battery at Amazon.com, the shipping was free for me (on such a heavy item this was a big bonus), and the delivery time was fine...arrived quite quickly. The battery comes with it's own charger and is really easy to charge, just plug the cord into it. I'm lovin' the B&D electric/battery mower as well, quieter than gas mowers, and starts with the push of a button every time...none of this cord pulling I was used to with gas mowers. I'm very happy with the performance of this battery.

Battery works fine, but charge indicator is superfluous.
I ordered this battery and charger as a backup to the battery that came with the mower originally. The old battery, about 5 years old, was still usable but seemed to be growing weaker. The new battery works just fine. The battery charge-level indicator was a bit of a surprise, as I was expecting a voltage meter of some sort that gave a continuous readout and indicated when the charge was getting low (although I could tell that anyway by the mower's performance). The charge-level indicator is activated by pushing a button, which lights up 1, 2, or 3 lights showing whether the battery's charge is low, medium, or high. The lights are difficult to read in sunlight, which is not of much use since I don't mow my lawn at night! But it is of interest, when I roll the mower into the garage, to see how much charge is left. In any case, the new batteries, both the new one and the older one (without the charge-level indicator) work just fine and I am pleased with them. It certainly beats my older B&D cordless mower, which required major surgery to replace a worn-out battery. With the new batteries, one can change batteries in seconds.

Great battery, great price.
I've had my mower for 5 years, and this is a replacement battery. It clearly shows my old battery was beginning to wear out. The LED indicators are somewhat useful, if you want to know if there is enough power left to get that last side patch of grass. I disassembled my old battery to price replacement parts (gel cells), and this is a solid value, with minimum markup for the form factor.
