My heart hurts, in a very good and a horrible heartbreaking, bittersweet kind of a way
Oh man, where do I even start....I rarely ever cry at media. This, however...this REALLY got to me. I need a nap after this one.**Spoilers are mentioned ahead, so read at your own risk!**Let's start with Tate.I wanted to hate Tate. I really did and I still do, but by the end of it, realizing he's trapped in a house with people who will always have their prejudices, and it's going to be a never ending cycle for him. So hard in fact they are willing to make their son miserable enough want to unexist, makes my heart hurt for him and that girl they brought in. They ingrained it so deep into him that he couldn't ever consider accepting himself. There was a small part of him that knew, but he chose being the "perfect alpha" over his happiness, and that makes me hurt for him. I don't condone his behavior to Tommie in any way though. He was horrible to him and made him suffer so much just to convince himself. That wasn't fair to him. Knowing Tommie was suffering just as much, he had the means to try to make it easier on themselves, but he chose to "prove a point" to Tommie at every single opportunity he could. He settled for him being chased, having to give up his pack and his family, out over losing everything he had. Even if they couldn't have ended up together, he could have been a better person to some degree. So much of what he did wasn't necessary, even though I get a lot of it was trying to convince himself, right up to the end. Hazel was 100% right, he never gave him a chance to be allowed to fit in, and that entire novel made that point really clear.Tommie, my boy my BOOOOOY I would give you the world and more. Tommie is such an amazingly complex character with so much layering it was a heartbreaking journey to see him find himself. I hate part of the journey, that professor of his was a terrible person who just took advantage of his newfound loneliness, but Tommie knows this now. He also took away so much from that part of his life. He may have regrets, but he's clearly grateful that by the time he leaves he can accept himself without regrets. I was curious about Tommie during 'Cassius'. I wondered why this guy and Hazel were such a weird one off. It was amazing learning about them. He was a kind soul to Addie because he knows what it feels like to be unseen, he was patient with those who may not have deserved it because he knew what it was like to be unacceptable. He loved so fully, even though it costed him his mate. I get why he had to ask for him in the end, just the once. Tate is his mate after all. I can see why he needed it to be able to move on. I'm glad he may have a chance at a good future, that even though he had to leave he has a chance to start over and be himself without any judgements against him.Heck, I wanted to hate Hazel too, but by the end of this I want to know even more about her and I'm so glad she went after Tommie. I have such a newfound respect for her as a character, especially being able to experience the Cash Date from her POV. She's such a good person with a good and big heart, just surrounded by an exterior she had to build to protect whatever part of her heart she had left. I don't blame her for having to look out for herself, and even though their dynamic is odd, her and Tommie are really great friends.'His Alpha' had me questioning the mate bond, but in a good way. We always expect sunshine and rainbows, happy endings with pups and endless love. We have to consider though, that for some it's just not possible. That the road is hard, it isn't always beautiful, and sometimes mates can't have what they want or need in the end. They have to do what's best for themselves, for whatever reason. This is full of very real and very raw emotions and situations, and I'm glad it avoided being a cliche attempt at a M/M novel. This is so far from cliche. This also gives me a glimpse into those individuals who don't have safe spaces and environments to be who they are and love who they want, and to all of you I genuinely hope you can find your happiness. If you don't have anyone, know that this stranger on the web will always support and root for you. You have someone here, I promise, so try to be a Tommie. Try to find a good place, start over, or start beginning. I really hope you can do it. Once again, I have to tip my hat to the author. This book will hurt your heart, I assure you, but it is absolutely worth the read, and I couldn't recommend it more.

🌻It isn't just a book to read, it's an emotional experience.
One of my favourite books I have read and proudly own. Rachelle is phenomenal with her writing. Her creativity and emotions shine through her characters and perspective is so important. Reading this was an emotional roller coaster I don't think I was fully ready for and I am still not, from the first paragraph to the last its a ride of ups and downs with nothing but in-betweens. The emotions you feel through the characters is everything I love about a good book. A writer can do so much more than give you a story. Not everything in life is black and white. The author shows us the greys we all can face in our daily lives and that just adds to the connection you have with the characters. The switch up between character POVs is something I love, you can really understand everything. A lot of writers have difficulty writing certain characters, either the gender, their race or sexual orientation but Rachelle flows from one to the next with ease.Highly recommend it to anyone.Tommie is one of my all-time favourite characters and always will be. There is much to be learned from him and the other characters in this novel. It's not just an enjoyable read, its a leap into their world.🌸🌸🌸

excellent writing
This is one of the best same gender love stories I’ve ever read. It’s so good to see the quality of writing that this type of story deserves. It’s a multi layered and complex as any other romance says I’ve read.

Hello Tommie !!!!!
Great read, I really enjoyed this story and looking forward to more but I do have to say I hope Clayton's story is not about Kennedy I had my fill of her in the Wildflowers series. Speaking of that series what's up with Caleb, anyway enjoyed this story it's very well written hope we don't have to wait to long for the next story. Tommie is awesome more alpha than Tate but as they say that's the way the story goes just saying😊😊.

Eine Lycanstory über zwei Mates deren es niemals erlaubt ist zusammen zu sein. Weil der Alpha nicht seinen Beta als Mate haben darf. In ihrer Welt ist esVerboten und das nur, weil sie zwei Männer sind ...

His Alpha by Rachelle Mills aka Whiskeyqueenn
🌸 This is Not a regular cliche LGBT story .. this is beyond the Genre the book says .. the story of the lead Male is a heart breaking one which will want to make us be protective of him and to take him away from his world. He's so precious that we fall in love with him every day, every minute. We feel his sadness, his Pain and his love too. This journey of Tommie, questioning the Moon's choice, is an amazing and fabulous one to experience .. love it to the core and I recommend this to every one because it's beyond imagination.Thank you Rachelle Mills for giving us The story of Tommie !!
