Effective and immediate results!!
This training is the most effective training I have experienced. I am a Dalmatian Breeder and a dog lover and no other training techniques I have learned have ever given me such quick results. The videos and equipment are great. The videos give you a great visual of the commands in action the dog father is the real deal.

Nothing special, but parts have value
For what it is, it's OK. There is really nothing here that you can't find in any other dog training DVD. Corrective training, be in control, etc. That method does work well, but there is no secret sauce here, and no need to pay so much for the DVDs or the training lines. There are good training videos for free on Youtube, and you can make your own lines of the length you need with inexpensive poly rope/line, which he implies you will need to do anyway. As for the DVDs, production quality is far below what I expected. Many scenes appear to be shot on a covered porch or outdoor patio and shot with a small handheld camcorder. Sound is inconsistent, as is lighting and therefore picture. Other shots are on a golf course and surrounds, and those are reasonably good. The infomercial shots are the best quality shots used. The video gets the job done, but leaves me wondering about the value of the product when he mails it in on the centerpiece: the video. The one item that is useful is the Command Collar. It's basically a blunted plastic prong collar. It's not as medieval looking as a prong collar, and does get the job done. He advises for large or strong-willed dogs it may not be enough, so you will need another option in that case.My advice: get the Command Collar it you don't want to use a prong or choke collar, make your own training lines, and use existing videos that are out there. You'll save at least half the price and have the same result.Additional note: As at least one other reviewer has stated: check your DVDs in all players when you get them. Mine would not work in my DVD player but would work on the laptops. Don't know why; it's an inconvenience but not a show-stopper as the DVDs aren't that great anyways.

You can't argue with results
I don't write a lot of reviews. It takes either something great or horrible to prompt one. As you can see from the 5-star rating, Don Sullivan's product is the former. My purchase was prompted by the infomercial actually - and it's not easy for me to admit that. Our 4-month-old Weimaraner is pretty good but could definitely listen better. Having a feeling that it was likely something we were doing wrong, we ordered this set to watch as a family (4 kids). It's only been two days and we have already seen promising results and we're looking forward to continuing training. She is already a much calmer, well-behaved dog who reliably sits on the first command and "down" almost always on the first command. The most significant improvement, however, has been loose-leash walking. There is no more pulling, running, or fighting while trying to go on a walk. Some reviews stated issues with the DVD length or repetitiveness. I find that the menu-driven layout allows you to take things in smaller doses or go back and revisit specific topics alone. The quality of these DVDs is not in the production, but rather in the information. They are made simply and include some cheesy effects from time to time.Other reviews stated issues with the equipment. I find the command collar is more than adequate and intensity is scalable to the dog/situation. The lines are ok - they are light and easy to clean. An unexpected bonus is that our dog shows absolutely no interest in chewing it like she did her previous ones. They may not be the last line you ever buy, but they'll do for a bit of training. In the end, we're just getting started with this kit but are already seeing progress. The kids are much happier being able to control and play with the dog. We are also quite pleased with the media/equipment and would recommend this product to anyone.

Good
Great product...Although a bit late i noticed that there is a duplicate in my postcards, their email for warranty is not working and i did not find a way to contact them otherwise by email, so here is the copy of the email, hopefully a responsible will reply to me:Good day,I would like to express how happy I am with the dogfather training package, and that i travelled to america on my vacation and purchased it through amazon (unfortunately you don't ship to outside US).In any case I noticed that the field training cards have a duplicate page, as in the "Stay command" is repeated twice and that it might have replaced another card that should have been in its place.Would you be kind to send me the missing page? If shipping is not an option to outside US may i at least get an image of the missing page by email? The ones i already have are:- do and don'ts- Stop pulling on leash- Down Command + continued- Stay command + continued- Relax vs Sit + continued- Stay command + continued (duplicate)- Come command + continuedRegards,John

My dog "Woody " a German Shepard, got the first collar off and chewed it up, and I had received the replacement box, so I put that collar on him and he was out in his pen & when we went to work, and when I got home, he didn't have his collar on, I found pieces of it in his pen, he got it off and destroyed it also.I have some of the pieces of the collar. He just turned a year this month, but the kit did not work with him. He has gotten so big and so strong, I need to look elsewhere, to get control of him.

Not as seen on TV
I have a husky and been working with him everyday for about 5 days now.. Doesn't show the improvement like on the video.. We got some stuff down but for the most part he still his manic self.. I cut my hand twice on the chain trying to discipline him.. I think the electric coller would be a much better investment being that there almost the same price..
