Yes, cr2032, top access. I have 2 of these, long battery life.

Does this red dot need an adapter plate for my q5 sf match,if so which one,thx in advance?

Looks like Q5's come with multiple plate's for the main red dots, should be 3 that come in the case? Just make sure you use blue loctite and the freshest bits to torque em to the correct ft lbs.
