THE Cream for barrier repair, sensitive skin, compromised skin, dry skin, simply THE CREAM.
I love purchasing and testing out new products I find—it is both my line of work (chemist/formulator) and my hobby. I’m not as strict in my assessments of products as a dermatologist might be (see, Dr. Dray) and I espouse the benefits of (SUSTAINABLE—ie not swiftlet nest extract) ingredients like snail mucin that don’t necessarily meet the double blind, peer reviewed study threshold of medical testing (there is little funding for this kind of testing for products that aren’t patentable—Surprise, surprise). To make this brief, this cream is absolutely fantastic. Marine and algae extracts have incredible benefits for the skin in terms of cell regeneration, would healing, moisture retention, cell wall (ie barrier) repair, the list goes on. Seaweeds have their own intrinsic protection from UVA and UVB damage from the sun and are a crucial filter of toxins and oxygen generator in our oceans—a true miracle ingredient. La Mer is (was?) famous for its ‘broth’ of marine ingredients (these days, less miracle broth more fragrance and fancy packaging). ‘AB’ is another brand that claims scientific superiority but provides little in the way of proof but demands much from your pocket—Phykology competes easily with both lines and spares me the infuriating (and functionally useless) fragrance, heavy bulky packaging (that contributes nothing to the efficacy of the product), and maximizes the benefits of its ingredients. Soothing, moisturizing, calming, healing without being heavy, oily, SCENTED, ridiculously expensive or packaged like you don’t have a weight max on your luggage. The formula is impeccable, concentrated and PERFORMS. Spare yourself the the ‘luxury’ brand BS and just get the results for $35.

Maybe similar to Skinfix Cream but not a dupe
Updated review:Got the reformulated version now and it's 100% better. It's light enough for daytime but also heavy/moisturizing enough for nighttime. I don't smell anything with the new formula. The only con now is that the metal tube will sometimes cause the product to keep oozing out. Overall, this is nice. It's a step below the Dr jart ceramidin cream and the skinfix barrier cream as those are quite thick and heavy. I'd gladly recommend these for cheaper alternatives now. Very underhyped product!Original review:I bought this because I figured it could replace my trusty skinfix cream. Unfortunately this one smells slightly like plastic/ gasoline and does not hydrate my skin as well as skinfix.

Wish i could give it 1,000 stars. Please don’t ever stop selling this. It’s the perfect moisturizer, it’s light but yet does the job. I am in love with it

Not sure I noticed it at all
I am not sure how I felt about this cream. I tried it for about a week and found myself reaching for old skincare items that I’d used rather than this one. I think I need to try it again with fewer items to see what it really is and how it works on my skin.

Quality skincare
Felt great on my sensitive, dehydrated acne prone skin! Didn’t cause any irritation or itching and my face actually feels good. I love the packaging/aesthetic and that the first ingredient in the list is actually their main ingredient in the product.

Nice moisturizer but nothing spectacular
This cream by Phykology is pretty nice. It is heavy but moisturizes nicely. It does take a good amount of time to absorb fully into your skin but once it does your skin does feel nice and soft. I did not see any significant skin brightening effects though. It is a nice moisturizer with good ingredients but in my eyes nothing spectacular really. It has no noticeable scent and I had no negative reactions to it.
