Kwikset Gatelatch Deadbolt Lock, Antique Brass Round Keyed on Exterior and Interior Front Entry Door, Pick Resistant SmartKey Rekey Security, Double Cylinder Dead Bolt, with Microban Protection

Needed a replacement for a Kwikset gate "double keyed cylinder " that had finally gave out after 25 years outside. It is for my 20 unit condo pool gate and the self keyable feature lets us change the new cylinder to work with the old keys that everyone already, saving the cost of making 25 new keys.Keying is easy just carefully line things up and you will have no problem.

took about 20 mins to install it and re-keyonly confused about re-key (spent 15 mins to find out that so calls "3 easy steps")that instructions are not clear enough otherwise it's great

The media could not be loaded.  Because my gate is right by the side walk I wanted something not to bulky, this works grate with my electronic gate opener.

My gates are exposed on both sides, so I needed a deadbolt. This bolt moves without the key, so it is not dead. It would be fairly easy to reach inside the gate and slide the bolt with a butter knife. This would work on a gate without inside access from the outside. I may be able to find a use for it on a security door.

If you are replacing the lock set on an iron gate and this is the only product I have found that will do the job.

This is described as a deadbolt; however it is actually a spring-loaded bolt. Otherwise it appears to be a quality product.
