Effective, Natural, and great cost!
Iโve been on the lookout for a dish soap that is both effective and gentle on the skin, and Better Lifeโs Lemon Mint dish soap fits the bill perfectly. It tackles greasy dishes with ease, cutting through grime without the need for harsh chemicals. The refreshing lemon mint scent is subtle and pleasant, not overpowering like some other brands. I also appreciate that itโs free from sulfates and parabens, making it a safer choice for my family and the environment. Plus, it doesnโt dry out my hands, even with frequent use. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a natural and efficient dishwashing solution.

The best dish (and hand) soap I've ever used!
Best dish soap, and hand soap, I've ever used. For all my adult life, I've been a frequent hand washer, and because of this, my hands would become very dry and terribly chapped every winter season. Without frequent use of hand lotions, I would have bloody cracked skin. I had always wondered whether it was my skin that was the problem, or the soaps. Since I had tried all the various "gentle" soaps and still found my condition unchanged, I assumed that the soap was not the cause of my dry skin condition. After trying out this Better Life dish soap for one year (for washing dishes and for washing my hands generally), my dry skin condition disappeared! No winter dry skin, for the first time in decades! Problem solved. I will be using this Better Life dish soap as long as it's available. Don't worry that it's not as thick as normal dish soap, because it will teach you that you don't need much soap to clean your dishes. In fact, this product taught that I have been wasting a lot of water rinsing off the concentrated "commercial" soap, and I've probably been leaving a lot of residual concentrated soap on my dishes and on my hands. With the Better Life dish soap, not only am I able to completely rinse off all the residual soap using less water, but I'm not as concerned about any residual, because the Better Life soap does not have the harsh chemicals that normal dish soap has. Another very good thing I've noticed is, my sponges and dish towels do not turn moldy using the Better Life dish soap, whereas with normal dish soap even a new sponge would smell moldy after a few days in normal use. Highly recommended! Worth the price, if you care about your skin and health as I do. Update, March 8, 2020: Received 4 bottles. One bottle the soap was normal (light yellow), one bottle the soap was completely cloudy (like the pictures other users posted), and two bottles the soap was dark amber colored. Very disappointed. Had had problems with their quality recently (soap turns cloudy for no reason). Will not order anymore. Trust is everything, I don't trust them anymore.

Decent dish soap, but won't repurchase.
I am a fan of Better Life products and have been for a while, though this was my first time trying their dish soap. When I was reading reviews before purchasing it, I noticed that some reviews mentioned a weird phenomenon where the dish soap was thick and good when it was first opened, but after a short time, it became very thin and watery and not as good at lathering. This also happened to me! It was really good and thick and great at lathering in the first week, but after that, suddenly the soap has turned a more opaque white color and is super thin. I feel like I have to use twice as much(if not 3x as much!) for it to be the same amount of suds and longevity as before. Overall, are my dishes getting clean? Yes, they are. It just feels a bit wasteful and expensive for me to use this dish soap. After I am finished with my bottles of it, I think I will switch back to the Seventh Generation dish soap, as it holds up great and is it a better price point. I think I will still repurchase several other cleaning products from Better Life, as I have had much better luck with most of those and appreciate how non toxic they are.

I love this dish soap!
The lemon mint scent is fresh without being overpowering, and it actually makes washing dishes a little more pleasant. What really sold me, though, is how gentle it is on my skin. I have sensitive hands that usually get dry or irritated with most soaps, but with this one, I donโt even need to wear gloves. It cuts through grease surprisingly well for a more natural formula, and a little goes a long way. Plus, knowing it's made with safer ingredients and free from harsh chemicals gives me peace of mind โ especially in a house with kids and pets. Highly recommend if you want a non-toxic, effective dish soap that smells great and wonโt wreck your hands.

The best natural dishsoap
This actually cleans grease! I buy it in gallons because I can't get it locally and never want to run out. I ran out once and bought Dawn because I just can't handle the feel of grease when washing dishes. When the Better Life arrived and I swapped them out, there was no difference in quality. I do like the feel of Better Life more, though. I like the peppermint scent better, but they are equally effective.

Expensive
Yes, it has fewer questionable chemicals than normal dish soap, but it is SUPER expensive at 30 cents / oz. Dawn is about 12 cents / oz. Any other dish soap is about 6 cents / oz. The gallon is still 29 cents / oz, although it uses less plastic packaging. The soap is very thick. It cleans well, but does not create much in the way of suds (bubbles), which is nice because you don't have a ball of suds floating in the sink. The Pomegranate fragrance is lightly fruity, and not objectionable in the kitchen like other 'perfume' fragrances. I also bought the unscented soap, and it has no significant smell. Both rinse easily in normal tap water. I don't have sensitive skin, so from a practical standpoint, this does nothing for my hands. But I try to buy products that have less environmental impact and are healthier for me and my family. This is definitely a step toward being healthier. It costs me about $100 / yr more to use this soap vs. other dish soap, so it is something to consider.

Gets dishes clean without provoking my chemical sensitivity!
I have significant chemical sensitivities. Most dish soaps cause my hands to turn red, dry, and flaky after a single exposure. There are some preservatives in this soap, but they must be at a low enough level it isn't provoking chem sensitivity for me. It's SO hard to find a dish soap that both gets the dishes clean AND doesn't harm my hands. This one fits the bill. Thanks for a great product!

Thins Itself Out Over Time!!
UPDATE: It's 2 months later and now the rest of the gallon jug has now thinned out completely. The entire thing is now completely watery with literally no concentration whatsoever. I guess the more you have in a container, the longer it takes to thin. See my previous review below to see how bad this soap is. The review score is now zero stars. I decided to switch to a more natural dish soap with aloe for my hands. I went with this one because it's one of the few with lemon scent which is what I like. Though, after smelling it, it's mostly mint and hardly any lemon so that was the first drawback for me. Straight out of the jug it seemed like a fairly good soap. It was thick and concentrated and lathered up good with one or 2 pumps of our glass dispenser by the sink. I thought I found a winner. But after a few days to a week, I pumped the dispenser and instead of thick soap I got watery thin soap which had lost its concentration. I picked up the dispenser and shook it and it was like water inside. At first I thought maybe somebody put water in it as a joke or for some other reason so I kind of dismissed it. After all, soap can't create it's own water right? So I put up with having to pump about 8 times just to wash my hands or anything else since it was so thin with hardly any suds. Once it was almost empty I decided to empty out and clean my dispenser thinking maybe the soap had reacted with the tiny bit of Dawn that was left when I poured it in. I cleaned and rinsed everything, checked that the soap was still nice and thick in its original jug, which it was. Then I refilled the dispenser. It was great. Nice and thick again and washed good just like other brands of dish soap.......for a couple days. After about two days it slowly started thinning again. Now it's like water again. But yet it's still thick in its plastic jug. I can't explain it. But that's what's happening. I wanted to like this soap but I'll have to try a different natural brand when this is gone. Which won't be long having to use 10 pumps at a time.
