I am proud to be Isreal Johnson's great great great great granddaughter. Even if you are not part of this family, you will find the book very interesting. The way Roger Mitchell has a question, and then searches and searches for an answer, all the time coming up with more questions is very interesting. Also, Mitchell's search takes him all over the Adirondack's and he meets some very interesting people along the way. For anyone researching their family tree, or interested in history or the Adirondacks, this book is for you. All I can say is, thank you Roger Mitchell! The author did a great job of researching this extraordinary individual and I was so thrilled to find it. I would never have known anything about him except for this wonderful discovery.
