Not for unattended pets or
Everytime we go for the dog's yearly, she swears she'll take them all out, just let her at them. Until I bought this, I would have to put her in one of their old school muzzles, which is effective but I imagine smells like a thousand dogs' fears and doesn't allow for much panting room (we live in Florida). I bought this about a week before her most recent appointment. I referred to it as her "treat dispenser" and started the positive association immediately. After a couple of days, she was asking for it, nudging it on the shelf, like she does her harness for a walk, and she put her nose right into it, to reach her treat. I gradually increased the amount of time holding it to her face before strapping her in about day 5, and leaving it for just a few seconds. She immediately tried to take it off, (lying down with two paws), and I knew if she got it off, she'd know she could and it would be all over, but I gave her the "leave it", "sit", and "wait" commands (which she already knows) followed immediately by a "good job" and a treat and then removing it right after her treat. We did then this multiple times a day for a couple of days in small bursts, gradually increasing the time. I strapped her in when we got into the exam room. This was definitely a success, as it is the very first time she accepted a treat while at the vet! Ever! Normally, she's so stressed she just refuses. I could, unfortunately, see that it did slip around quite a bit while the tech held her for her exam, although it seemed firmly in place while she wasn't moving. (The photo was taken right after her exam.) She still tried to eat the techs and the doctor, but actually seemed calmer with it on, with a bit less cursing. Maybe that was me feeling calmer that she couldn't bite them. I love that she can pant and open her mouth. The drawback, as I see it, is that there should be some way to attach it to a collar or harness to make it harder to remove. All in all, this was a positive experience and I am happy with my purchase, however, I must say if she wanted to (and hadn't had positive association with treats and training) or was given the opportunity to (aka left unattended) she could absolutely take this off and I would have told an all together different story. This wasn't made for fixing unmanaged behavioral problems or to protect your furniture when you're not home, etc. It's a tool to be used short term, with supervision, like the vet, or groomer, or out for a walk. If that's what you're looking for, this worked.

Worked for a couple weeks
Our dog is blind in one eye and can be snappy on occasion due to it. He's also a pitbull/American bulldog cross and we want no misunderstandings on his behavior due to his breeds. We had good results with this muzzle and he accepted it fairly well for about 2 weeks, at which point the strap in the top lost it's adjuster while in use and no longer functioned or stayed on when he pawed at it without fastening it around his collar, which wasn't as comfortable for him. All in all, it's good quality, we'll just have to try again and watch the top strap more carefully in the future. I'd prefer a buckle option rather than slides, since a buckle is more difficult for a dog to loosen, but it's not a bad product, as it's comfortable, allows panting and drinking, and even had a gap you can easily offer treats through for acclimation and training.

It’s a great buy!
It fit properly and I can now cut my dogs nails without being nipped at. Affordable solution to vet bills.

Awesome customer service!
Muzzle runs a little small. If your close to the upper measurements, size up. We ordered size medium because we were in the upper range for size medium. Fit was a little too snug, so we emailed the company and they sent us size large immediately and it fits much better.Muzzle is well made and seems comfortable.AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Great for introduction to a muzzle
I have a 50 lb. 1 year old Husky/Samoyed/GSD mix. He hasn't worn a muzzle before this, and hates having things put on his neck or head. He eats things (toxic plants, food, trash) he shouldn't when on a walk though, and can sometimes be a little reactive/nippy when nervous, so I knew I needed to introduce a muzzle for safety when meeting new friends, taking him to dog-friendly stores where he tries to eat trash, and when I'm trying to groom him. He also has allergies that cause him to lick himself raw (even past the cone of shame!), so I figured this could be helpful while allowing those skin spots to heal.I ordered up a size to allow for some pant room, but that makes the strap is slightly too long. I'll need to do some custom adjustment because of that, but otherwise, this seemed to work well size-wise. He pawed at it once or twice when I paused and he was able to realize it was on, but as long as I kept moving and gave him occasional treats, he tolerates it. I also did a lot of conditioning for a week before I ever strapped it on his head, dispensing treats through the muzzle and giving a "put your nose in" command. It's helpful that there's room to give treats through it, however, this does mean that he might be able to eat bad things through it too. I figure it at least creates a barrier that will make it harder, but if you have a true scavenger, you might need a different type of muzzle. I'm working on making a mesh guard for the front. It seems pretty durable and easy to clean. I can't speak to the bite-prevention factor, as my guy is just a slightly nippy pup still, not truly aggressive, but if he was I might get a metal basket type muzzle instead.

Iffy
Good at first. I had to buy it TWO times because the clip broke and the second time it broke again so I have not bought it since. The clip part I think is too fragile for bigger dogs like Doberman. Be careful because if you need a muzzle you don’t want this to happen.

Good muzzle
The muzzle is good, my dog just needed a larger size. I purchased the largest size available- 5. I still use the muzzle as a backup, but for a Neapolitan Mastiff's face I needed an additional 2.5" to make it a good/comfortable fit. I had to find & purchase another muzzle from a different company. Suggest the company do a bit of research Mastiffs and add a size 6 to the lineup.

I think they would be great but they were too big for my dog
They were too big for my dog so I cannot give an accurate review

Great for Nail Trims
I have a large, very strong dog. No matter how often you handle her paws or try to do anything to her, she just cannot be desensitized. She panics easily. (She had a rough start as a baby and developing her confidence has been a consistent struggle.) we normally use peanut butter or treats as a distraction when cutting her nails. I decided that it would be best to put myself at total ease because dogs are dogs and, sometimes, the can behave in ways we wouldn’t anticipate in response to perceived threats. I got her the muzzle for that reason. It worked like a charm BUT - even better -it actually also turned out to be a way to keep her consistent distracted with the positive reward. Licking peanut butter off of the front of the muzzle was perfect. It put me at ease, too. It was the best nail trim we’ve ever had. Highly recommend it, even if it makes your dog look like Hannibal Lector.

breathable and flexible
I bought this muzzle to aid in training my rescue dog. It's flexible and breathable and apparently comfortable because he has not tried to take it off even once. It's also been a great aid in training. He gets nervous around people and other dogs and this has helped make him calmer and less distracted and cut down on the fear aggression that he was showing. I was afraid that a soft muzzle with velcro would not stay in place and they do not allow dogs to pant properly. This one is perfect for my needs. I measured him before buying per the guide, and I ordered a large but then returned it for an X-large which fits perfectly, and I would suggest going up a size if the measurements are borderline. This is for dogs with a normal muzzle length and will not be good for dogs with short or pushed in muzzles like pugs or bull dogs. I am very glad I made this purchase as it is helpful to both of us on our daily walks. He does not wear it in the house at all because he feels secure at home and does not display aggression toward anyone when not out walking on the leash.

Flawed design and measurements are way off.
Ok so I had really high hopes for these - I bought 2 because I have 2 Weimaraners, each with their own issues. I measured their snouts as per the instruction on the listing and ordered a medium for my smaller Weim and a large for my bigger Weim. My smaller Weim has a slender face and my bigger girl has a larger, boxier face.I was anxiously awaiting the delivery because as I had mentioned, each of my girls has issues that I have tried and tried to correct using various methods. Then one day, I thought, hmm maybe a muzzle. It might reduce the incessant barking of my older girl and perhaps curb the ability of my younger girl to eat poop. Yep, she eats poop. And it makes me crazy. However, when the muzzles arrived, the medium size wasn’t even going to come close to my smaller girls face so I tried the larger one on her. It fit but was a little snug... that would’ve been fine except she can get it off in less than 5 seconds. There’s a design flaw ... it really should have a lower strap too. But it only had one that goes around her neck but with no anchor. So then I put it on the bigger girl and it is VERY tight against her nose. Like smushes it her nose right up, very very tight. Not comfortable at all. I just can’t use it. I followed the measuring instructions to a T. I’m so disappointed. I’m going to look for a different solution now. What a waste of my money. I could return them but with the holidays upon us, I just don’t see that as an option

Excellent muzzle!
I needed a muzzle for my dog that he couldn’t get off. I had a cloth one that I had bought before and he shredded it in about five minutes. He worked very hard to get it off, so I needed one that he could not get off. I only need it for him when we are out working with the calves as he likes to grab the tails and rip the ends off the tails. When I got the muzzle he allowed me to put it on no problem. He still just puts his nose up and lets me put it on now after about three weeks of use. He doesn’t really like it when it’s on, he tries to get it off but can’t and he drags his nose through the snow so it does get some ice buildup but it doesn’t affect his breathing. He does have a little patch of hair rubbed off on top of his nose because he does try to fight it a bit. He only wears it two hours at the most. Just while I’m out doing chores. He still tries to grab tails but he can’t!! Yay!! The best thing I got!

my error
Very well made and would work on a dog with a longer snout. I read that wasn't good for short snouted dogs but had to try. My bull dog is a butt nipper and avid barker! Her nose is too short, she started hyperventilating. My own fault! I would definetly recommend this muzzle!
