RYOBIRLT4125 400 W 25 cm Grass Trimmer, Amazon Exclusive

OK bought this in February for a silly low price of £18.33 , how good could it be ? At the price worth a go for a decent brand i have now used it several times and am not disappointed, so much better than my previous strimmer seen comments the line comes out, well mine hasn't at all in the times I've used it, cords on these things are never very long bit I have a 30m extension so problem solved. Would I pay the current £46 its on today 3 months after I purchased ? Yes I would as still cheap for a good brand and decent build quality At the end of the day its just a garden tool, not a new car !!

I thought with this being an Amazon exclusive it would be a good purchase, unfortunately I was wrong. Firstly the lead is very short, I've only got a smallish garden and my previous Flymo strimmer just about reached all of it, with this one I can only reach a third of the way with the lead at full stretch so you will need to add on the cost of an extension lead. Secondly do not buy this if you want to keep your sanity, the spool system and strimming line is rubbish. The line lasts a few seconds before breaking off completely, which means you have to dismantle the spool to rethread the line, the problem with this is you have to take the spool completely out to thread the line through the holes but when you try to do this the line springs off the spool. The line also gets jammed under itself on the spool and then won't automatically feed out, this also causes it to break and occasionally the line gets stuck behind the clip that releases the spool cover, this makes it difficult to get the cover off, as the clip won't push in to release the cover. I am going to try a different strimming line to see if it improves the experience but that's more expense again!

Does what it does there are better available and I’m a Ryobi 1 fan !

AVOID BUYING THIS ITEM - LOOK ELSEWHERETotal waste of money and unrelaible, used a few times within 12 months and the mechanism has broken. Offered zero help or assistance that was useful. Definitely avoid buying this item or from this seller, much better options out there

Powerful little strimmer, lightweight but the cord could have been longer. I have a very small garden so used it to mow the whole lawn and it worked great.I've had no problems with the sttim line, seems sturdy enough for my use.

I have just used it for the first time to strim a wildflower meadow, 100 sq metres on a steep slope... light and easy, most effective. Made quick work of coarse grasses and thick wildflower stems. Delighted with this purchase.

This has been perfect so far for what I needed.(and the line has not snapped yet). I had never used one before, so a complete novice. Since I got it I have been using it mainly instead of a scythe and also for a bit of edging.

Really good strimmer, can't fault it,100% better than bosch my last model, only lasted a week, the only thing I would say, the handle extends, could do with a bit more length,
