This is a Chromecast dongle and does everything that it was made for. Works to cast from any device you have to your TV using WIFI once you connect the dongle to it. One good thing is this worked on both 2.4 and 5 GHz WIFI, so you can use either if you have it.This is so easy to hook up and get up and running. It took a couple of minutes. You do need to connect this to power so you will need to plug it in unless your TV has a free USB port that puts out enough power to run this. Some don’t and you will need to get a wall plug to plug this into a wall outlet.This works great if you have something on your phone or tablet you want to see on a big screen or if you have an app to watch HBO, Netflicks, HULU or anything like it, but don’t have a smart TV, this is perfect for that and works without much lag or buffering for me.

Says on the box Cromecast Ultra by Google, but it will not work with many latest TV sets. Contacted Google, and the first thing Google tech asked, was to make the pic of the device. They say getting hundreds calls about malfunctioning counterfeit Cromecasts... Stay away from it.I will return this China cr*p back to Amazon.

Very difficult to connect from a laptop running Windows 10.Once plugged into the television, the setup screen comes up and the Instructions that are obviously translated from another language to English and are hard to follow.If you want to connect it to your home/etc. wifi, you first have to connect to the device with your laptop, then input your wifi password through the ip address shown on the setup screen using a browser.To connect to a laptop with windows 10 and display the laptop screen on the TV screen, you have to go to windows start on your laptop, then to settings. Then select "devices" then depress the plus sign at "Add Bluetooth or Other Device" , then "wireless display or dock". You should then see the WIFiDisplay #####, select this and connect. However, the next time you want to use it, you may have to do all of this AND remove the previous connection if it is already listed as a device at the "Add Bluetooth or Other Device" screen. Not so simple and it sometimes takes a couple of tries. The last time I used it (and I never turned it off) I had to reboot the device, reboot my laptop, clear out the previous use and then after two more attempts it worked. I never used this from a phone, so it may work better with that.

Very poor instructions. Hard to set up. Worked for about an hour. They would no longer connect. Avoid at all cost. this is a cheap knockoff that doesn't work

I have two TV at home, one of the TV is not a smart TV, so I have to buy this chrome cast. I’m happy with this product, because I can output the movie from the phone to TV now. I can’t make the screen full size I don’t know why.

This chrome cast is great because I can see everything as a Smart TV has. Besides that I can connect it without wires, I had already bought one but I had to connect my IPhone to the cable, this was what I liked the most that you can be with your IPhone sitting in the living room seeing what you like most.

Compre este dispositivo y tuve que salir del pais por varias semanas, luego de regresar intente instalar este dispositivo y no fue posible, intete en varios TV, intervenieron muchas personas y nadie pudo instalar este dispositivo. Ayer intenete nuevamente, lo logre pero la calidad de transmision es pesima, se va la imagen y no lo puedo devolver por que ya paso el tiempo, pero fue como botar el dinero a la basura. Lo siento pero fue una malisima experiencia.

Couldn't get to work...setup instructions weren't accurate. Never connected wirelessly although it was displayed on the TV.
