Really helped.
I just got started in the business, and my company did a poor job at training me. Like many other salesmen, I got thrown out to the wolves and was just expected to start putting out big numbers. I nearly quit a few times, just frustrated in myself for thinking I wasn't good enough.This book helped me see that it wasn't my fault exactly, it was because I didn't know what I was doing! This has some good points on sales and uses a lot of quotes from famous people (and many from not-so-famous people, but are solid quotes nonetheless) to solidify the points made in each chapter. There's a lot of great examples he uses in the book from his own experiences.I too wish there was more on negotiation, as another reviewer said. This book does touch on negotiations a bit and offers some great tips on starting the negotiation, but doesn't really give anything for during the negotiation.After reading this book, I went from selling 0 cars one month to selling 11. It isn't ALL because of this book - I had to change my attitude and go to work to work - but this book definitely helped. Recommended. And for such a low price on Kindle, it's an easy buy to read on your Kindle app on your smartphone while you don't have any customers on the lot.

All the information you need to get started
I've worked in many retail areas of sales, but never have I entered into the realm of car sales. I'm only 24 years old and have been struggling to figure out what career I want to pursue. After years of different entry level jobs, I have come down to the conclusion that I enjoy real estate, sales, and the automotive industry. My next entry level position will be as a Automotive Sales Consultant and I didn't want to come into the industry blind. This book will show you all the steps that are taken in a sales process at a dealership and will break each step down into detail. There are also many "word tracks" examples included in the chapters that show you how to implement the concepts of the sales process into your pitch with the customer.The book is quite long, but kept me so engaged and filled with excitement that I finished it within a week. Highly recommended to any new and struggling car sales professionals.

This should be the training book for all dealerships !
I choose to give this book 5 stars because not only does it teach you every step of the sales process but it lets you know why you should do each step a certain way also breakdowns each step with examples. It’s also very easy to read. I liked the examples he used in this book I’ve tried to find courses on car sales I’ve watched countless videos on YouTube, but none of that information broke it down like this. May God bless the author of this book!

From Zero to Hero
Selling is an art and as much a science as boxing. Selling autos can be as crude as blurting out stuff such as, "If I could do XYZ would you buy today...and I'll beat any quote ya got" or as sophisticated as using numerology, oriental philosophies and "Slight Of Mind" to drift the prospect into seducing himself or herself into a psychological either. Some people make a living functioning at the crudest levels and many managers never function above that level. Every individual's level of mastery comes from within and that is one of the insights this book attempts to expose the reader to. The greater your mastery in this field the more brilliant this book will be. With each reading will come new insight or at the least a rekindled passion for what to me is the most fun vocation possible. The biggest roadblock that salespeople have is the destructive practices of their managers. This book reminds us that managers don't make our money for us; we do, and we must become good enough and self inspired enough to float right through the silly antics our customers and our managers often perpetrate on us. We often must tollerate our managers and at the same time save them from ruining our work. This is not that difficult a task with the right frame of reality. So I say, get the book. If you only get one technique or insight that saves or creates one extra closing you are ahead. If you come to realize how easy it is to be passionate about your career you will make a more wonderful life for yourself and your family. I am 62 years old and have been selling vehicles since 1989.

Practical Guide
This book is the most practical guide to creating a successful career in automotive sales. The how-to examples are useful to anyone wanting to be a professional in this business. I just wish I would have read sooner.

Really well thought out!
I read this book and I've never been in the car business but am deeply considering it and learning a lot about it. This book reads like a handbook and takes you through the process! Attitude and Enthusiasm are so important!!!

Not as in depth as it should be
Although this book is entertaining and has some useful information, it's not nearly as in depth as it should be. More time is spent on helping you to understand the way things work in the industry rather than helping you get better.I wanted much more word tracks, and I felt the section on negotiation was so lacking I had to go out and buy a book on negotiation as soon as I was done reading this.Okay book, but worth a read either way, since it's actually entertaining and compared with most books of this kind that says a lot.

Para aquellos que buscan "el libro" para este mercado específico, esto es ideal. Ojalá este libro fuera el primero de todos los que he leído hasta ahora.
