Worth it!
I bought this book as a gift for my 12 year old cousin who is very much into the Percy Jackson series and honestly have heard the funniest things about it. To say she loved it is an understatement!

Fun read.
What a fun read.........and quick too. Loved all the references to other books and movies. Editing needed to be a little better but otherwise, a great parody.

Title reveals the plot good bathroom reading
Simple minded schlock. Easy read in a day. The title says it all. A few chuckles-good gag gift. People with experience of extreme flatulence at embarrassing times may find it offensive.

I do like the original a lot so I thought I'd give ...
Although the writing is referenced from the original book and the writing is well written, it lacks the comedy that it advertises. However I assume since I favor the original more compared to the parodies, that this book didn't exactly meet my tastes. I do like the original a lot so I thought I'd give this a try.

Livro interessante para quem curte paródias e leve leitura em inglês
THE LIGHTNING FART seria traduzido mais ou menos como O PEIDO DE RAIOS, mas para combinar com a versão brasileira de O LADRÃO DE RAIOS eu o traduziria como O PEIDÃO DE RAIOS. Então. Ideia boa, piadas legais e um livro que poderia ser muito mais irreverente do que foi. Steve Lookner escreve paródias de livros famosos e se diverte fazendo isso. O início de THE LIGHTNING FART é genial, fazendo um jogo de palavras bem parecido com o primeiro livro da saga de Percy Jackson e que me fez querer lê-lo assim logo de início. Eu, contudo, queria ter rido mais. Parece que de acordo com a continuação da história ele foi meio que repetindo piadas relacionadas ao fascínio de Percy Stinkson (sim, Stinkson) por Annabeth e isso foi um pouco chato. A ideia em si é boa, mas ele poderia ter sido mais engraçado. Para quem curte uma leitura leve em inglês (pois ele ainda não foi traduzido para o português) e curte paródia, é um volume interessante.
