W10120998 Dryer Lint Screen Filter Replacement Part by AMI PARTS - Compatible with Whirlpool, Kenmore, Roper & Sears Dryers

This filter fit my dryer just fine, but the felt edging scarcely extends beyond the frame. The only reason I sought a new filter is because my old one's felt edging is somewhat compressed. That felt is vital to containing the lint on the filter and not drifting down into the dryer. The measurements provided in the photo description are accurate. My dryer is around 11 years old and is a Maytag Bravos 400 series, model MEDB800VQ0.A few months ago my dryer began making an unacceptable noise. When the dryer was disassembled, I was a bit horrified to see how absolutely filthy, coated with thick lint, it was. It took me several hours, working with cotton ear swabs to reach areas around the motor after vacuuming the two inches of lint off the entire bottom of the machine. It was surprising the machine ran at all. After that experience I vowed to do the best I could at keeping lint at bay. I have always cleaned the lint filter after each load, and during loads containing linty fabrics. I also regularly took the filter and its housing out of the dryer, and vacuumed everything that could be reached through there as well as cleaning the exterior duct. I thought I was practicing household safety. It's very annoying the bottom of the dryer is not reachable for routine cleaning. The only way to get at it is not only removing the front, but also removing the drum. My hope was that a new filter would provide a tighter fit inside the filter housiing...don't know what else to do, but I don't want my dryer to die, and I don't want a house fire.

While this filter fits, albeit a little snug at first, the design is different from the original OEM model and although it does the job, it is difficult to get the lint off by hand. The lint seems more compacted and i have to use a brush to clean it. The separating plastic vertical frame which divides component into two parts sets up two areas to clean which also makes it difficult. I plan on buying a different filter.

Was worried based on some reviews claiming the screen didn't fit. Decided to roll the dice for $15. Delighted with the result. We have an older Duet and the fit is just tight enough to be perfect. Screen is much better than the original equipment. Easy to peel the lint off the steel screen, and the center support is a stroke of genius that Whilpool didn't have. Can't praise this filter enough. No worries. Go for it.

A perfect fit! I was so happy to find this lint trap for under $20! I just figured they’d be way more expensive. This was an exact match for our dryer & has held up better than the one that came with the dryer! Five stars!

The dryer filter is working as expected. This filter has a center band which the original filter did not have and I was concerned that it my not fit.. The new filter fits however it is a little tighter when inserting and removing from the dryer.Just a note ..The original filter that came with my Whirlpool Duet dryer purchase in 2005. I hope this filter last that long !!!

This replacement screen filter works great. It fits very well in my dryer and has held up very well through many loads. I'm super happy I bought this as the old one had definitely seen better days. I don't foresee myself needing to by another anytime soon due to how well this one is working, but if I do, I would definitely buy this product again.

Didn't want to have to play arts and crafts with my dryer. This dryer lint screen fit my dryer, which totally made my day and potentially saved us a huge amount money in the long run. I could repair the felt strip, but sometimes the cheap comes out expensive.

How much can you really say about a lint screen? Have had it for a few months now, and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. No issues with how it fit or with rusting as some other reviewers have said they experienced. We have a Whirpool Cabrio dryer, and this screen worked well for us.
