I bought this set for my Japanese knives. Unfortunately the magnets are not strong enough and it became hazardous to put them on there.Pros:1) Very nice design knife holder2) Real wood and finish33) Easy to assemble.Cons:1) Magnet not strong enough. Only works with light weight knives2) Not same piece wood per block. Different color on other side.3) Not all same color throughout holder.4) Only magnetic on one side.

Magnets are too weak, other blocks like this allow knives to be attached to both sides of uprights, this design only allows one side to be used. Overall it was almost OK until a knife that was placed attached and fell off the block nearly injuring me. Cheap implementation of what should have been a good product, not worth a trip the the ER.

Great product saves room on my counter. However, the magnets are a little weak if you have knives that are heavy they will fall off.

Made of real Walnut - looks pretty! Magnets are quite strong. Takes up less linear space than most magnetic blocks. Overall great buy for the price.

I am very happy with the unit

Sometimes a bigger knife falls off. I wish the piece had a stronger magnet. Beyond that, this looks great in my kitchen
